So, let me entirely upfront about this concept. It is VERY heavily inspired by the SCP universe. Mind you, it does not take place in the SCP universe, but it is inspired by it. And this RP focuses more on the many Groups Of Interest, not on the anomalies themselves.

The setting is just your average modern world, however, magical and mysterious people and items are all around, and yet, nobody knows. The only people who do know are several groups, organizations, or otherwise collections of people who work closely with these anomalies for different purposes. One group may worship these anomalies as gods, another may try to weaponize the anomalies, and yet another may be composed of these anomalies, just trying to fit into society.

Another disclaimer, I have no idea for a plot really. But I do know this RP would involve the multiple groups working with/against each other to achieve their own goals.

Description Of Object: Physically Similar To A 1920's Record Player. The Disc On The Player Is Unmarked, And Impossible To Remove. The Object Does Not Require Outside Power.

Anomalous Properties: When Activated, It Will Play Mr. Sandman By The Chordettes. When Any Sapient Being Listens To The Song, The Subject Will No Longer Be Able To Think For Themselves, And Will Invariably Listen To Any Unaffected Individuals. This Effect Is Not Permanent, And Will End 24 Hours After Listening To The Song.

Name: Unknown Object and Creature Investigation Agency (U.O.C.I.A)
Goal/Mission Statement: Wherever an object or organism with strange, or possibly supernatural properties exist or appear the Agency shall arrive to investigate. The members of the Agency shall assess the danger and possible benefit of these unknown subjects in their pursuit to understand them and act accordingly.
Headquarters: The Labyrinth. A secure fortress building built into the interior of a mountain.

Name: Orb of Arcaia
Description Of Object: An inky black, floating black orb that is four feet in diameter with silver tendrils that occasionally protrude out.
Group That Owns Anomaly: Unknown Object and Creature Investigation Agency
Anomalous Properties: A concentrated portal to a dimension filled with powerful and terrifying creatures that can be opened with the sacrifice of the life force of a planet. When kept idle and contained the orb serves as a perfect power source as small traces of the other dimension seep out from the tendrils as pure energy. If a being approaches it they shall be steadily driven mad, an effect that becomes more severe with a closer distance and longer exposure time. Effects can be permanent for anyone that looks directly into the orb.

Name: Deborah Ilma
Brief Physical Description: A five foot seven human woman with sharp features, brown hair, green eyes, curvy figure, light skin and wears black thick frame glasses. Wears the standard plain navy colored uniform of the agency, and the designated black labcoat of the Research Division.
Group Associated With: Unkown Object and Creature Investigation Agency
Brief Personality Description: An analytical individual dedicated to her studies, driven by her great ambition. Generally a stoic individual with a playful nature to those close to her.
Relations To Groups/People: One of the five Supervisors of the Agency's Research Division. Holds the highest security clearance, save for the Heads of the Agency themselves.

Goal/Mission Statement: Unite all African peoples under one banner, 'corporatize' the continent, and "liberate" the continent from Western Imperialists
Headquarters: Scenic Tunis, Secondary Operating center in Bangui
# Of Members: Upper Command clocks in at about 65 people, lesser executives at about 612 - 677 people.
Leader: Abdelhamid Akalay, known outside of his inner circle as 'The CEO'
Allies: The governments of the countries of Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Mali.
Rivals: Western Imperialists

Name: Nabila Benzakour
Brief Physical Description: Lithe 5'6 Moroccan, waistlength black hair, blue eyes.
Group Associated With: Afriunion Enterprises, the CEO's inner circle.
Brief Personality Description: Gifted orator, shrewd. Stubborn and competitive, to the point of fault.
Relations To Groups/People: Second in command to Akalay, frequently relays orders in their place. Handles most of recruitment, able to build and maintain an impressive cult of personality.

Name: altawatam min altharwa - arabic for 'Totem of Wealth'
Description Of Object: A large object resembling a totem face. Each face is about 6 feet tall, and there are three of them. Each face has an open mouth-- and if you were to stick your hand in, they go on for a while.
Group That Owns Anomaly: Afriunion Enterprises
Anomalous Properties: When a metallic object is inserted into a mouth, it is 'processed' (a noisy process taking around six hours for something as minor as an ounce of iron.) and will come out of another mouth - usually at high velocity - at around half its weight in gold, or around two-thirds the weight in silver. The wealth processing ability of the device is significantly hampered by the fact that one can only insert metallic objects smaller than the mouth openings of the totem faces. Moreover, large portions of the valuable output can be destroyed if not handled properly during ejection.

(I tried to take a very 'brotherhood of NOD' approach to this one. Thoughts?)

(I really like it! Though it doesn't seem as closely connected with anomalies as the others. Is the totem their soul source of income? If so, that'd be more interesting and suspicious.)

(they have fronts and other sources of income, but the wealth totem is one of their primary methods of acquiring untraceable valuables. Something to consider is that the inner circle - Nabila especially - are anomalous themselves; she has quite a way with words, if you see where i'm going with that)
