I might have seen a post about RP peeves and such, and it was quite a downer, personally for me, espeically if you see things in it that might relate to you. x.x BUT I am NOT putting down the forum topic. I simply figured I would make a positive post :D A post where we can all share the things we LOVE in our RP's, the players we love, the characters we love, the things we love in general, anything, everythingggg.

My RP Favorites:

* Opposites Attract Romance. - I love this shish, it's so great. I am way to obsessed with Cheerleader/Nerd, and Popular Girl/Goth, and Dork/Jock. Like give me it all.

* When characters are all angsty and stubborn and deny attraction but the second one of them gets hurt they turn into a grandmother with band aids and soup even if all that happened is they tripped. :3

* When one character is really stubborn but the other refuses to believe the bull and the other character gets mad at them for caring about them. LOL

* When two characters have the most AMAZING chemistry and flow well together from the very beginning. <3

* Cute characters going on cute dates!

* Arguments that end in glaring, then bursting into giggles, then hugging.

* Angst angst angst and dangerous accidents that makes characters realize they love each other.

* Characters going from being serious to dancing in the kitchen or some shish.

* When someone is as detailed as I am. :D

* When my writing style fits PERFECTLY with the other person and our flow is blessed by the gods.

* When I have 500000000 plot ideas and the other person has 500000000 plot ideas and we love ALL OF THEM.

* PROPOSALS, WEDDINGS, HONEYMOONS. <3 <3

* Characters with angsty sad backgrounds that makes them stronger!

* Hospital room scenes where there is hand holding and snotty noses and sweet words. :'(

* Characters that are badbutt children of gods/angels/demons/other powerful beings and are the BEST to write action with.

* When I spend 40 minutes laughing about something that happened in RP and then 20 minutes laughing about what I put in my post as a response.

* When fan art is made of our couple. :D

* When I make a whole playlist for couples and the other person makes a whole playlist for couples and we're just overrun by THE FEELS.

* When I get posts that are SOOO LONG and full of so much fun depth and little things that might seem insignificant, but that I ADORE.

* IC angst, drama, and intense conflict. I love fluff but I love it even more when there are jut bucket of angst and conflict to work with at certain points. I am a firm believer in an RP being a many genres a possible at any given time.

Yesss! I appreciate how much work they put into it and I just love it. Now, some of my others:

*Logical roleplay. When my partners stuff makes sense, it makes it more fun to me.

*Long personality bios. I love deeply written bios on the characters personality.

*Arguments. In character arguments, of course.

*Original original characters. I just love seeing well made characters, sometimes I fawn over them a little too much, heh...I've done it with a few of mine cuz I was so proud.

*Playful banter. I really enjoy flirting like this sometimes, or playful arguments that Chelsea often gets into.

*Engaging characters. When they actually talk. It's great.
Definitely on point. Thank you Afar. :)

And yes, I would like to take time off to give a shoutout to some amazing people who I have invested my time and energy into.

Where do I begin?

Oh boy, let's start with a group of friends I never met in person before lol - 1997 was the year I believe. My email friends from Yahoo! Messenger who introduced me to this sort of thing. John, Blake, Agla, Matt, and all my TB friends from Ayenee and Eden's Era, those were the days lol. Then to my good friends in Multicity Chats back in 1999 when it was a free server. Vegetto, Blink, Jason, Sarah, Melkor, Chris, Usagi, Scias, Rias, Thrall, Alex, Tom, Selene, etc. Shoutout to Geocities, Java Chat, Relay Chat, Homestead, MSN Messenger and the ProBoards forums. I'd also like to give recognition to my friends from old Comicity back in 2000, to Ken, Eric, Jade and others. I also give kudos to AC3 and to great RPers like my friends Mark, Vic, Circ, Lily, Ash and others. Those were good times.

I also really enjoyed RPing with Sigurd, Dragon, Master, Awinita, Barney and everyone from the RolePlayGateway forums. Joining the Norsemen's RPG was really fun for a while. I also liked Corvin and the whole TC/LODA phase. But if someone were to ask me today in 2018 what my favorite Roleplay is - I'd have to say right now it is the "Kingdom of Ash" fantasy RPG on these forums. Kim, Rayne, Lock, Blip, Yurei, etc. I am having a blast with this particular story.

My favorite characters ATM are Faedkyn Hylorra, Vygoren Calygarn, Thraen Valour, Carmen Ashdown, Lord Caspar, Lord Grevious Saint, Faize, Luciel Carjak, and everybody involved in that particular story.

I'm sure once I sober up, I will think of more names and RP's that I'm positive are worthy of mentioning. But for now, this is where I'd like to start sending positive vibes. :) <3

Yay! Time to spread some positivity!

1. Cheesy and fluffy romance. The first rp I've ever done that resulted in an actual relationship between the characters was actually with my boyfriend (we were only friends when we had started it, though) and it's still going! We had even made quite a few relationships that happened in that rp cannon as well! I just love the cheesy and adorable moments!

2. Characters reuniting. I always find myself grinning like an idiot whenever two characters are brought back together after being separated. Even if I may have been the reason the plan to separate them happened in the first place, it makes me feel happy when they find each other again.

3. IC drama. Yes, I love romance, but I also love to stir up many dramatic situations between characters in the rp. It helps me get deeper into my characters, their flaws, and their fears. It also can help strengthen the relationship between other characters.

4. Comedic situations. Whether it just be irony in a situation or laughing at a typo that was made or just pure randomness, I love it when I find myself giggling like an idiot while reading an rp reply or even typing one myself. Yes, I can be a bit bipolar with what I love in rps. One moment my character may be crying their eyes out, the next they may be laughing like nothing ever happened XD

5. Loveable idiots. I love it when one character could be the most level-headed person, but turns into a bumbling idiot when they fall in love. I find it quite endearing XD

Yes~ I love it too. I fawn over my own character constantly tbh ahaha. And I am always looking at the pages of characters I'm playing with on a daily basis.
-I have a weakness for big broody boys with hearts of gold. The more grumpy they are externally, and the better the heart, the better. (Totally not why I made Crow this way, nooooo.... >_>)

-When a partner and I just... click. It's rare, but god if it isn't the best feeling. <3

-When a partner pushes me to write better, forces me not to be lazy. It takes me longer to reply, but it certainly feels worth it. <3

-When I post a prompt / LFRP and like the perfect character replies. I literally start squealing because YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING THANK THE LORDT

-Slow burn romance.

-BUT ALSO IMMEDIATE ROMANCES TOO? They fall head over heels for each other?? And stutter a lot??? AND THEY'RE SO DORKY AND EMBARRASSING???? Yes.

That's what I can think of right now off the top of my head. I'm bad at positivity (... yeah), so this was a nice post / thread. <3

You have made my night. I love IC drama, and wish I had more of it in my RPs! But what else do I love?

1. Star-crossed romances. Where two people fall in love with each other, yet they can never truly be together because of their life circumstances, other relationships, etc. Just seeing the angst, the raw passion, the hidden secrets, just... Ugh, why don't I have more of these?! Especially if they never solve the issues keeping them apart, yet continue to love and see each other anyway because drama and feels...! <3

2. Natural Romance. I love a good cheesy romance story every so often, but when the characters just take their time and bond at their own pace, it's the most beautiful thing to see a chance meeting or an accidental bump turn into something more. It feels more realistic, and it's breath-taking.

3. Fantasy. Give me mana or give me death. No really, fantasy is one of the best genres I've ever played in. I can let my already wild imagination go even wilder and explain as much as I like when it comes to my characters and world!

Especially when it comes to Sci-Fi Fantasy: it gives just the right amount of freedom while being mildly scientific in a way. I adore worlds where the arcane and the technological meld into peaceful yet chaotic scenes and objects. High-tech towers exuding magic from enchanted crystals to protect a city, motorbikes being powered by fire magic installed in the engine... I adore every single bit of it.

4. Patient and understanding players who click with me immediately. You have no idea how painfully shy I am in real life, let alone here. To have someone click with me right off the bat and be willing to wait for me is an incredible thing to have. Like someone else said, it's beyond rare. But when it happens, I want to do my best to make sure they know that I appreciate them. Even if it's just an OOC message of me attempting (and possibly failing) to shoot the breeze.

5. Jerks with Hearts of Gold. Call them tsunderes, hot and cold, whatever. Just seeing them fluff up in anger at everyone then settle down enough to give someone they care about an awkward hug is the cutest thing on earth. I've never played with someone else who has one, but I'm more than willing to give it a shot once I'm open again. And related to this one...

6. Wild Child with a Heart of Gold. You know the ones: the party girls and boys who'll dance the night away, give no craps about authority, and do whatever they please, whenever they please, with whoever they please; the hot bros and flirty mamas who seem to only care about how good they feel or how funny a situation is... Only to end up saving someone or even a lot of people out of nowhere. They'll even pass it off like, "Pfft, I only did it because I felt like it." (But you know they'd most likely do it again anyway because they do care about people.) I love these types so much.
RedLantern

Hm.

[*] Some HurtxComfort, but it's hard to play them if you don't have a partner that is on the same understanding than you.

[*] Complex characters, because it makes them even the more interesting to understand and acts toward them.

[*] Either very "bright" characters, and simple, because it's refreshing, of the entire opposite and I like to just switch my regard.
[*] Searched plots, searched action, based on reality, are my favourites. It can made hard to roleplay science-fiction, because you'll need to be keen (with me) on any subjects, related to reality. If you go with drugs, medecine, genetic mutations, I would love you the more for putting up researchs and coming with real stuff, the fiction element will have to make mutate for example, but don't just give me "it mutates", give me how, why, and I'll just be happy.
I love some good old fashioned positivity!

-I adore the moment of confession, whether it's physical or emotional. The harder it is for a character the say or do, the better. Not even necessarily love confessions, though those rank up there. Just anything a character has been holding back, when it finally pours forth, oh the catharsis!

-Finding two characters that just get each other. There's no forcing or work arounds and the writing just flows like a river of words, perfect and unending.

-Endings. I genuinely enjoy when an rp actually reaches a natural conclusion. It can be so very rare for so many reasons, but if it actually happens, the resolution and closure it brings can be rapturous.

-I enjoy the planning process! Getting to know my partner and where we want to go and how we want to get there can be almost as fun as the rp itself!

-The posts that you cry while typing out (I had one of those just last night!) or the ones you cry while reading. When you're just that invested and something truly important or sad happens and you well up with the emotion. God that's good.

-Male characters that don't mind my bitchy feminist characters! I love when an rper/character can roll with my strong girls and not try to dick measure or be macho about it. Gives me hope for humanity.

I'm sure there are a ton more, but those are the ones that come to mind off the top of my head. This was a good thread idea!

This is a good one and I'm mad I didn't put it in my own post tbh

MY ULTIMATE WEAKNESS
haunt

i love little inside jokes that pop up in the roleplay from time to time, especially when they first appeared at the beginning of the roleplay lmao.

i also just love the little moments that make characters feel so Real, like when they're fidgeting or getting too focused on something way too small or whatever.
RedLantern

I love a good roleplay at the same usual time of RP! :)
This is a wholesome thread ✌️

My favourites:

- those scenarios where some mercenaries/morally grey people have to cooperate for whatever reason and they come out of it friends

- ragtag groups of characters, no matter the setting, are great

- meeting other writers who are really into worldbuilding and plotting and character development

- getting to that point where there's just character memes everywhere

- reading people's replies is the entire reason I switched from independent writing to roleplaying. When you're writing alone you more or less know how everything will work out, but with roleplaying half the fun is seeing what other people come up with.

- making characters!

There's definitely more lmao, I'll edit this as I think of them.
