I know I eat a lot of junk food....so I guess I want to,eat more fruits and veggies?
I've start going to the gym, had a consult with a personal trainer. I was surprised to find out that if you work weights a lot, you actually don't need to change your diet that much. in fact, carbs is usually a good thing and you'll eat more because your body/muscles are burning more.
that being said, I have cut out soft drinks and juice. I have a friend who started shedding weight in only a month just by only drinking water.

I started by adjusting my diet - I don't eat fastfood, don't buy carbonated drinks, and I minimized consumption of baked goods and snacks (potato chips and such). I consume more liquid - mostly water and tea (sugar at minimum, I mostly drink tea without adding sugar at all). I need to find a good calories calculator and start regulating that as well, I think.
Your diet adjustement sounds good and sensiful. I've been correclating my diet had actually repercussion on my physical energy, as anyay, anyone knows. But to the point where it impedes the fact I would like to work out. I just don't feel enough energy to get that kick you're suppose to have when you start to get into the habit. It just disappeared. In two days of bad diet.
Guys, anybody had tried a veggy diet, there?
Anyone had tried "health shakes", which one did you? Feedback?
Thanks to alls!

I'm doing a low carb thing: minimizing pasta, rice, potatoes, sugary drinks, bread, fast food, and baked goods. To make up for not having my precious noodles, I'm eating lots of meat and cheese, and veggies where I can fit them in. Sugar seems to be much worse than fat in terms of weight gain. Just gotta watch the sodium! I also lift weights semi seriously, and I'm hoping upping my protein intake even more will help me there.
Alright, you guys are very meticulous about the whole est stuff. Lol.
I should too. But I should change, all m'y habits more. Not just diet.
Still look to hear from you guys!
Thks for the share!

The only thing I really have to add to this is that short cuts don't work. Health shakes and most brands that promote themselves as being health foods or super foods are not as healthy as they claim to be. If it tastes or looks like chocolate, it probably isn't healthy. Ignore the advertising, only pay attention to the ingredients on the label. It'll save you a lot of money not to buy into "healthy" brands.
Everything is good in moderation. Things that are frequently demonized like sugar and carbs aren't actually bad, your body needs them, just not as much as other things. White bread is still pretty awful though.
Milk and cheese are commonly overlooked culprits of a bad diet. Our bodies can't digest dairy very effectively and it doesn't provide as many health benefits as people tend to claim. Even the milk brands that say they have omega-3s only have barely a teaspoon worth in the whole carton. You're better off eating genuine fish if you need omega-3s.
Eat more "living" food instead of processed foods. Juice is pretty tasty (juice is for me what soda is for most other people, that stuff is gooood) but unfortunately the process of juicing something usually strips out a lot of the healthy parts, and then they add a bunch of sugar and concentrate for flavoring. You're much better off eating the actual living fruit. Try smoothies instead!
Don't bother with supplements unless they've been recommended to you by a specialist. Seriously, don't. Moderation applies here too, there is such a thing as too many vitamins.
If you aren't working out, don't drink sports drinks! Gatorade's pretty stellar for dehydration but replacing water with it is a huge mistake. It has lots of sugar that is put in there with exercise in mind, you're suppose to burn it off.
Energy drinks are not good for you, period. I'm not budging on this one.
So again, most of my advice circles back around to "shortcuts don't work". Eat genuine fruits and veggies!

Here's the thing... The most successful diet is the one that you can stick with. For me? That's the ketogenic diet. It's super low carb, high fat, and moderate protein. Is it for everyone? Absolutely not. For me, it's not just some fad diet that I'm doing for a short while, it's a serious overhaul and a way of life. I no longer crave sugar, I have more energy, I don't get fatigue crashes midday, and my husband? He's nearly entirely off of his diabetes medication after nearly winding up in the emergency room over it a couple of years ago. For us, it's a life saver.
However, if we're talking weight loss, it still comes down to calories in and calories out. For me, I'm more easily satiated without carbs, so it works well. There's no one plan that's going to be perfect for everyone.

Well. I do have supplements, and I feel the difference. I got vitamins from my pharmacist, and tell you without them I wouldn't be there. But to put it back into it's right place : I don't have an healthy diet, I got problem to eat things, and got several food allergies. So I'm not budging on the vitamins when you need the help.
I believe some people don't even know they are being un-vitaminedorcould improve their diet, as they had always an under-diet and anwful diet, and could feel the use of vitamins. When they try it out, they understand something is wrong, andsee the change under vitaminics supplements.
There are differents diets for treating differents problems, I look for experience in this topic, mostly, not random advice. People fight over what's good and bad, I'll say people should know for themselves what fits.
I look for people who are under diet orwho would like to try some diet, for whatever reason : diabete , weight loss, heamlth improvment. Too share. Just don't barge in and claim what's good or not. Thanks you all.
