Nikita smiled up at Aylen, putting her hand over his hand that was on her cheek. She closed her eyes, wishing she could 'see' the world the way he did.

As Aylens perception was solely focused on the two of them, this time he did notice her eyes close. He hesitated for a while, but eventually made up his mind. He leaned forward slowly, and softly touched her lips with his.

Nikita was surprised that Aylen had kissed her but she kissed him back, never once opening her eyes. She could hear his heart beat due to how close they were and her actuly sensetective ears.

Aylen smiled slightly through the kiss when she answered it, and wrapped his free arm around her waist. He pulled back after a short while and smiled.
"I lied when I said I liked you." he said. "I don't like you. I love you."

Nikita had wrapped her arms around the back of Aylen's neck and smiled when he pulled away. She was still blushing when he admited that he loved her. "I know that, if you were just saying that you liked me then it would be easier."

Aylen smiled back at her. He kissed her again. Thunder rolled and lightning flashed outside the cave, but he ignored it. He was in his own world now, a dream world. His hand lingered on her cheek for a while, embedding itself in the soft fur. He pulled her close and simply enjoyed the warmth her body was emitting against his.

Nikita smiled back at him, she was glad he had saved her back before when the hunters had captured her. She had no clue where she would be now if he hadn't came into her life. She didn't even flinch when she heard the lighting flash or the roat of thunder, she was lost in this moment with Aylen. She wrapped her arms around him as he had pulled her in. She laid her head on his chest, listening to his heart beat again.

About that heartbeat, it was raging. Aylen smiled and stroke her hair for a while as he leaned into the wall behind him.

Nikita smiled at hearing his fast beat heart. "Your heart seems to beat faster more nowadays." She commented, looking up at him.

Aylen frowned. "I wonder how that is possible?" he smiled down at her.

Nikita blushed then smiled. "I don't even need to give it a second though."

"Good! 'cause there might be something wrong if you did have to." he said with a smile.

Nikita rolled her eyes. "I might be part lion but I'm still smarter than the average human."

"I suppose that's true." he replied.

Nikita smiled and laid her head back against his chest.

By this time, night was falling again, so Aylen got up. "Looks like our zebra is ready. Anyone want some?"

"I do!" Jason called out, jumping to his feet.
"I'll take some." Nikita said, rolling her eyes at Jason.

Aylen cut off a piece for everyone and gave a rather large one to jason. "Eat up, big boy!" he said. Then he then sat back down after giving Nikita hers and taking his.

Jason dug in the moment he got his hands on the zebra meat. Nikita ate hers as well, but with my manner than Jason did. "Thanks."
