Nikita nodded. "Well, you wanna go swimming or not?"

"Sure!" he smiled. "After you, then."

Nikita nodded and jumped into the water. She didn't resurface for awhile but she finally did. "C'mon in, the water it great!"

Aylen quickly stripped down to his underwear, a knee-high pair of shorts, and then dove into the water, quickly swimming over to nikita's side.

Nikita smiled at Aylen.

Aylen dove under water again and touched the bottom of the lake. He felt the vibrations reflect against various rocks, but the sand disgusted him. As he swam back to the surface, he turned to nikita. "You'll have to help me out. I can sort of see, since there are vibrations under water, but I'm not used to it. I see only as good as a human would when his vision is blurred."

Nikita nodded. "I see, don't worry. It is a good thing this isn't salt water." She mumbled the last part, knowing it would ten times harder for Aylen to see in salt water because there would sand sournding them.

"Yeah. You might have wanted to warn me if it was," he replied with a smirk. "I might just start panicking."

Nikita shook her head. "I know better than to take you to a beach." She smriked.

"Fair enough." he replied and smiled.

Nikita smiled back then got an idea. "let's see how well you can see just underwater. You have to find me underwater with just felling the vibrations of the water." She dove under water, holding her breath, and swam in a different spot, trying to see if Aylen could find her.

Aylen waited in the water for a long time, concentrating on every ripple in the water. When he finally felt it, he recognized Nikita and smiled. He turned towards her and swam over to her.

Nikita smiled as she saw he was coming toward her, proving that his 'sight' was better than most.

Aylen stopped next to her and laid his hand on her shoulder to make sure he'd remain where he was supposed to be. He hated this situation right now - the multiple ripples caused by his swimming made sure he wasn't able to see anything right now.

Nikita smiled at seeing that he had found her and swam up to the surface, pulling Aylen up with her so they could both breath again.

Aylen took in a large gulp of air as they surfaced and wiped his hair away from his face. "Well... that was easier then expected. But I'm really blind right now because of our constant movements of swimming."

"Do you want to go back on the land?" Nikita didn't want to make Aylen feel more blind than he was by bring him into the water.

Aylen reached out around him, but all he could feel were Nikita and some small waves. his heart tightened and his breathing sped up. For the first time since he finished his apprenticeship was he now afraid. He quickly nodded. "Yeah.."

Nikita kissed Aylen's forehead and whispered in his ear, "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you." She took his hand and swam them both to the land and set his hand on the soild ground and smiled at him.

The world immediately opened again as he touched the rocky edge of the water. He let out a sigh of relief right away. "That's a lot better." he smiled. "And I know you won't. I guess I can now add something else to my little list of fears." he chuckled.
