"We better go ahead and get back to the cave, it is getting dark."

Aylen nodded "I'm Right behind you." he replied and smiled. "After this..." he gave nikita a kiss on her lips. "Thanks. That was a... special experience." he chuckled.

Nikita smiled at Aylen. "You don't need to thank me, I wanted you to come here." She took his hand and began to walk back to the cave.

"I'm serious though, I haven't swam since I lost my eyes."

"Really? It is fun to swim." Nikita smiled again.

Aylen scowled. "When you can see, perhaps!" he smiled.

Nikita rolled her eyes. "Calm down now. You could somewhat see while we were swimming."

Aylen shook his head. "No, I couldn't. I just felt the waves crash against me. They may have been soft, but my heightened senses picked them up. If you'd start splashing around, I'd have immediately lost the way again."

Nikita nodded. "I see. Well, that is the last we go swimming for awhile."

Aylen just grinned. "Great, I was hoping you'd say that." he smiled and gave her a kiss. "Let's head back."

Nikita nodded and started back for the home of the pack. She stilled wonder about those cubs they had seen, they looked a little scarthed up and missing some fur, which was odd for cubs so young.

"Something bothering you?" Aylen asked as they were walking "And don't say it's nothing, I can tell by now when something's wrong."

Nikita rolled her eyes. "Just those cubs I saw, they seemed beaten, and missing some fur as well."

Aylen turned his head towards her - a motion he hadn't unlearned even though he was blind. "You think they're in trouble?"

"I don't know..." Nikita sighed.

"Well, I lost track of them." he started. "As soon as I pick up their movement, I'll let you know, okay?"

Nikita shook her head. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure we will run into them again."

Aylen smiled and rubbed her shoulder. "They'll be fine." he said reassuringly.

Nikita smiled back at him. "I hope they are."

Aylen nodded. "They are." As he spoke those words, the clearing and the cave got back in sight. "Well, here we are again."
