I gave one empty bottle, a couple fish oils, all my spare party hats, and a few weapons to the armory...heads up to those who need some of this stuff~

If you have a lot of bottles, yes, but not necessarily for the same reason. I don't know if bottles count, but I think that like last year, the more event items you have in your inventory, the less likely you are to receive random items. At the very least, I wasn't getting any hats until I cleared out a bunch of stuff I'd been holding onto earlier in the week. (I was keeping guns and hats to repair, and holding a few grenades while waiting for a bigger enemy to show up.)
