The man snorted. "Surely you're in it for more than just simple 'interest'. Both of you are! You're in it for the value of this angel. The money. Am I right?" He said, rubbing his thumb and index finger together at both of their faces. "You may have been an important tool to locating this angel but now that Zuzu is on her tail, I have no need for you... However. As sure as I am of my hired gun's capability of getting his job done, I wouldn't mind getting results more quickly. I'm a generous man, Zuzu can agree with that so I won't leave you in the dark. I'll tell you where Zuzu is for a small price. Deal?"
"You want us to pay you to help you get the job done?" Alexis asked, quite insulted with the statement. She did have her mercenary card. Its funds should be enough to buy a large house but Cecil would have a fit if she spent so much as a dime on anything with it.
"I'm fine with waiting, dear so this decision doesn't concern me. How about we start things small. Ten thousand bones for the city Zuzu's in. Or fifteen thousand for his exact location. I'll even schedule a meeting place with him if you'd like. For an extra thousand, of course." He pulled out his phone, ready to dial his hired gun to show he was being serious.

"What the--" Wolfe said, looking in disbelief. "Are you serious?! That kind of money is completely -- There is no way --" He seemed to really be at a loss for words. This guy was really going to milk them for all they had. Or at least, for all he had. He didn't know if Alexis even had any funds. But this was really the only lead they would be getting. "Jesus Christ... fine."
He pulled out his wallet, ripping a card from it and shoving it angrily at the man. "That's all I got. About thirteen hundred. Please tell me that will be enough for all that you offered to tell."

The man snatched the card from Wolfe's hand. "That'll get you the name of the city. I don't haggle so the price I give is the price I expect you to pay," he said with a wry smile. He flipped his phone over, enabling the scan feature and ran the card under it. "There. Ten thousand. Now..."
"Wait," Alexis said, fishing out her card from the breast pocket of her jacket. "I'll pay the six thousand extra."
He handed the card back to Wolfe and took Alexis', dialing in the amount and swiping it through the scanner. Satisfied to see the funds transfer successfully to his account he started to dial for Zuzu. "Mercenaries, I take it?" he asked as the phone rang. "I'm not blind to the world's troubles, you know. People don't generally hand over wads of cash for someone unless they're family or a loved one or whatever. You two are in it for the bigger pay, hm?"
Before he could go into his analysis further, Zuzu's face appeared on the hologram. "Yo, this is Zuzu," he said. There was a lot of background noise from the day time traffic on his side of the call and he kept his eyes locked on to something out of the hologram's field of view.
"Ah, Zuzu, my man. How are you doing today? Listen I've decided to send you some help in capturing the angel. Sound good?"
"Hey hey, wait a minute. Is this going to-"
"You'll still be paid in full. Don't worry. We already... handled the monetary issues," he looked at the other two with a smile, "We're going to set up a meeting spot. Any place in particular you'd want to meet?"
"Not quite sure yet. A pub maybe. Harvey's, over here at West and 3rd street. Later tonight if the angel decides to stop somewhere."
"Where exactly are you?"
"The city's name is Haven. Listen, I'm sort of following her right now so can this wait. Who are they anyways?"
"I believe you've met one already. Here why not have a word with them yourself?" He turned the phone over towards the two mercenaries. Zuzu was shocked to see Alexis still alive and well and even more so to see her next to that jerk who had gotten in their way.
"Oh. Hey Alex. Uh... And you," Zuzu said, not quite sure what to say to the other guy.

Wolfe mumbled to himself when the man swiped his card, and gave it back. He wouldn't be surprised at all if the man had taken more than he said he would. But, he couldn't really protest at the moment. How else would he get information? He was quite relieved though, when Alexis offered to pay the other part. Mostly for getting the rest of the information, but also because that would show anyone watching her card, that she was still alive. He was sure with her not reporting in, that someone might come looking for her. He would have to take care of that fact later as well.
By the time he had slipped out of his thoughts, Wolfe was staring at the hologram of Zuzu. He gave a grunt, and said, "You are just as ugly as I remember..." Just because he was getting information from the guy, by payment, didn't mean he had to be nice to him. And he definitely didn't like Zuzu.
And unbeknowst to Erasai, all the was happening while she was roaming the streets of Haven. With what money she had managed to have on her, she bought a new set of clothing and a knife. She was now looking for a place to sit and rest. She eventually ended up in a park, that wasn't nearly as busy as the rest of the city. She sat on the bench, looking at the knife resting in her hands. She seemed to be contemplating then. She let out a hesitant breath, but gathered her hair in her hand, and quickly raised the sharp blade to it and sliced through the strands with ease.
Her eyes welled up with tears as she looked to the pile of orange hair on the ground. But hopefully, now with shoulder length hair, she would be less recognizable.
She gathered the hair, and quickly made her way to a trash can, throwing it all away and leaving the park.

"Uh huh, likewise," Zuzu said to Wolfe with a snide grin, "This job just got a bit more interesting... Listen I'd like to stay and chat but I got someone to follow. Remember, the pub, alright?" Before Alexis could say anything the hologram cut off.
"If you need anything else from him here's his number..." the man jotted the digits down on a notepad paper and handed it over to Alexis. She would've taken it down immediately but her phone was sort of destroyed at the moment.
"Here," she said, shoving it over to Wolfe, "I don't have a phone. Let's get going." She just wanted to get this over with. Just from the phone conversation alone she knew that Zuzu and Wolfe together was going to be a handful.

Several miles north, Zuzu continued to pursue Erasai. Or at least he was trying to. The call had pulled his eyes off the girl long enough to lose her for a split second and as he ran around looking for the girl, he grew increasingly worried that he might have just lost her. He searched for minutes and eventually found himself sitting in the park, exhausted from all the running and stopping for a smoke break at a park bench. In his stewing he witnessed a girl with the same orange hair standing over a trashcan. Zuzu took a long drag as he stared at her before standing up and tossing the cigarette onto the sidewalk to continue his search.

Wolfe continued to mumble even after the hologram had disappeared. When Alexis gave him the paper, he quickly took out his phone and entered the number into his phone. Then he looked back to the man before them. "Alright then, guess we had better be on our way." He really wanted to get on with what they had come here to do in the first place. And now that they were much closer, he didn't want to waste any time.
He tapped Alexis lightly on the arm, and made his way back for his vehicle.

"See you soon," the man said, waving at the two before retreating back into the church. Alexis looked back at him before following Wolfe to the car. They had a bit of a drive ahead of them and she didn't want to miss their meeting.
"You don't like him much, do you?" Alexis said, buckling up as they got in the car. "I don't want this little quarrel of yours getting in the way of things."

Several hours had passed and Zuzu was already in front of the pub, pacing back and forth, chewing on the butt of his last cigarette as he waited for the other two. How he would break the n ews to them was at the forefront of his mind. He hadn't been able to relocate Erasai and was already formulating a plan on how to do so. He could split up the group and start a search like that but it was getting late. To make matters worse, he was dealing with other mercenaries. How can he guarantee they'd bring her back after finding the angel?
"There he is," Alexis said, pointing him out as their car drove by the pub. Zuzu saw them and gave a meek wave.

Wolfe parked the car, and rubbed his eyes. He hadn't slept in quite a while, and the drive to Haven as been so boring, and long. He was starting to get very tired. "Oh, goody..." he said, unbuckling, and stepping out of the vehicle. He stretched a bit, and then locked his vehicle once Alexis was out. He headed toward Zuzu, though less enthusiastically than one might have thought.
"So, let's get to the point," he said, stopping a few feet in front of the man. "Where is she?"

"Right, well, we'll talk this over inside. I'm buying, sound good?" Zuzu said, holding the door open for both of them.
"Zuzu, we're tired. I'd really like to get this over with so please," Alexis said with a sigh, brushing the bangs from her face.
"Exactly, you're tired and I'm treating you guys so c'mon."
"I'm not old enough to drink in this country, Zuzu."
"Hah, really? You look 21 so don't worry I'll vouch for you."
She took this as an insult and grabbed him by the collar. "Where the hell is she, Zuzu. I'm not here to drink. I'm here to get your job done. Now where is she?"
"I... I don't know," Zuzu said. The scene was rather comical: a young blonde woman ringing the neck of a black man about a foot taller than her.

And Wolfe found it very amusing. He stood, with his arms crossed as Alexis ripped into him, a smirk growing across his face. But then, Zuzu's words began to sink in.
"Wait? You don't know? What the hell do you mean you don't know?!" He took two quick steps and was hovering over Zuzu, glaring down at him as well. "You mean, we drove here, after paying a shit load of money, just so you could tell us you lost her?! I don't believe this. I don't fuc--" He stopped, trying to calm himself before he decided to kill Zuzu right there.
"Can you find her again...?"

(hello! sorry i haven't replied in a long while. i'm back in the rp game now though.)
"I can... er we can," Zuzu said, managing to wrench himself free from the young woman's grip. "You're here, she's somewhere in this city, all we have to do is spread out and find her."
"You want us to search a city for one person?" Alexis said as she slowly shook her head in disbelief. "It took us months to search a city with the team I had. How do you expect the three of us to get it done any sooner?"
"We know what she looks like now. We have our references. We know she doesn't have the cash to stay in a wide variety of places. That eliminates a good chunk of the city. You think Zuzu hasn't thought this through? You're wrong. We all should have some idea of where she would stay. You've spent the most time with her so it should be a lot easier for you. What do you say? Split up and look? Meet back here by sunrise?"

Wolfe rested his hand on his head, and shook it, muttering, "I don't believe this..." He turned from them, having silently agreed and left them behind. Where the hell was he suppose to look? He didn't have any idea. He didn't get to observe her at all. He just gave a heavy, loud sigh, making others turn heads.
Erasai stood outside of a music shop, her hand resting lightly on the window as she looked at the instruments inside. More specifically, the violins. She had found one that looked exactly like the one she had bought back home, but never got to pick up. There was an obvious sadness on her face, as she recalled her time at the mall, and the events that proceeded.

"Where do we start?" Alexis asked.
"Hell, she's a high school girl right? Maybe somewhere around there? Here," Zuzu tossed her a phone, "Bought it earlier cus boss man said you had some communication problems. Should have gps and my number there. If you find her, give me a ring. I'll go through the cheaper motels and see if anyone's seen her around here."
Alexis caught the phone and powered it on. Sure enough it had gps capabilities, which she was happy for since she had no idea where anything was in this city. Zuzu's suggestion was way off the mark though. After spending a week in a school girl outfit, she relearned how unfavorable it was to even be near a school as a teen. "I'll just check the shopping district, I guess..."
***
Some time had passed and Alexis was already getting quite frustrated with the search. The stores were all beginning to close and still no sign of the girl. She had checked all the clothes shops, movie theaters she could've hid in. She saw, a few times, a girl with long red hair and starteled a couple of them when she called out to her. Seeing as that strategy wasn't working she decided to be more subtle about it.
She came upon a music shop, almost ready to give up when she spotted another girl looking into it from the window. She had short, red hair and Alexis couldn't see the face clearly. She looked beautiful though and she couldn't help but stop to admire her before dropping her gaze to the gps since she didn't want to be caught staring. As she walked by, she recognized the height of the girl as well as the few finer details in the way she stood, causing Alexis to slow down, once again. She stood behind the girl, unsure of what to do. It couldn't be, she thought, Erasai wouldn't cut it all off... would she?

Erasai sighed to herself, feeling more depressed than she had in the past few days. Turning, she walked away from the window, not even having noticed Alexis, and walked in the direction the girl had come from.
She had to think about what she was going to do. How was she going to survive out here? Should she get a job? Find a place to live? She shook her head. No, she couldn't stay in this town for long. She was too close to the place everything had happened. Keep moving... that was all she could do.

(hey, just wondering what you want to happen. do you want Alexis to say something or just walk away?)
((She can say something. I don't mind either way, since I can make something happen with whatever you choose))
Alexis watched the girl as she left. Unsure whether to go after her or just let it go. She couldn't do that. She was here for a reason, she can't just drop opportunities like this. She didn't call out to her, though. But walked behind the girl. When she was close enough, she reached out, stopping her by the shoulder. "E-excuse me?" she said, not wanting to seem as if she was going to rob the person. It was late at night after all.
Erasai reacted in slow motion. Or, at least in her mind, she did. As she was turning, something in her mind registered, and she recognized the voice. But she couldn't quite stop herself from turning completely around and looking at the blonde. Her gold eyes looked at the girl, and a frown came immediately to her face.
From then on, she seemed to be able to think and move normally, so she grabbed Alexis by the shoulder, and threw her roughly against the wall. "Seriously? You are still following me? Am I really going to have to kill you to get you to stop?" An empty threat, but she felt she had to make it.

She was actually expecting to get the wrong person. When she was thrown against the wall, she was still unsure on how to react. But the gold colored eyes and the look of anger that Alexis was beginning to see all too often, let her know that she had the right person.
"Erasai, wait!" she said, clutching the girl's forearm with both hands, "It's different now. I'm not trying to capture you I'm trying to get you to safety." Of course there were some underlying stories that she would have to explain later but given the threat that was just thrown at her by the girl, she was hoping that would at least make her hesitate.

Erasai scoffed. "Oh? And what brought about this change of heart?" The anger was still evident in her voice, but she was curious to listen to this girl. She wondered what she might say to, perhaps, catch her off guard so she could make another attempt at her. She put some force against Alexis' grip, showing that she wasn't backing down, even if she was going to explain.
