(Alrighty then,
You know Monster High right? the doll franchise? with the animated specials and the comics and the books and all that?
This rp is going to be set in the diary universe, the world as depicted by the diaries, the comics, the animated specials, cartoon series and the Ghoulfriends forever books. So puns, kid friendly-ness and all a bit of fun.
Of course, I don't mind some darkness or some realism, just keep things PG and we'll be golden.
Setting is New Salem, a small monster town in America. There's a mall, a cinema, a lot of shops and cafes and restaurants, anything you might need in a town really. And of course the high school, Monster High, looming and intimidating, a huge turreted building that dominates the skyline.
Some students board here in dorms, others live elsewhere in town.
I'm thinking of starting things off pretty free form, with the start of the first day of the new term.
I'll be playing 3 characters, so feel free to play as many characters as you want. Pretty much anything goes with characters, i'm not fussy heh. Just follow usual ettiquite rules. No godmoding, no ridiculous over powered silliness and have fun!
I look forward to starting something!
Come on in)
Characters:
Perry Hartley
Ronan Aalto
Nathair Adderson
(more to be added as people join)

((I may play both Ever and Taeraya just because I can’t decide on which one lol))
((I'll try to post something as soon as I'm free ))
(yessss play ALL the characters hahah. Why decide when you can just throw everyone in? This is my philosophy on all things. Welcome guys, i'll try to get a starter post up asap. Been a bit hectic at home recently so i've been rather distracted)
((oh shit I thought this was based off monster allergy or something. Damnit.))
((scout is at the ready:) ))
(okay, a quick starter post then, just to get things going. I hate intros, they're time consuming lol. I just wanna get to interaction. So I apologize in advance if this is brief and a bit hasty.)
Ronan looked uncertainly up at the looming turrets and towers of Monster High, gulping back the anxiety rising in his gut.
Was this really such a great idea? All the pamphlets claimed this place was inclusive and welcoming, but he knew better than to believe all the hype immediately.
He was nervous, he'd not attended a regular school for a very long time and his exposure to other monsters had been limited at best.
The blonde haired Selkie boy adjusted his hat, pulled his scarf and coat just a little tighter around himself and with his head down, made his way toward the huge double doors of the entrance.
A teacher waited on the steps to welcome old students and new, guiding those who looked a little lost toward the "Clawdatorium" for orienteering.
Thankfully there was a sign pointing the way.
Ronan obediently followed the sign, oblivious to the fact it had been tampered with and was now pointing in the opposite direction to where it should be.
Soon he was horribly and hopelessly lost.

Madison was new, just like the many other monsters she had seen. Although she didn't look anxious through her body movement and relaxed expression, her deer ears were flicking around, taking everything and everyone in. She wasn't usually one to appreciate school, as she felt like it was a waste of time, but she was convinced to go, and now here she was.
She had spotted the sign and was about to follow it until her hypersensitive ears heard more nervous students in the other direction. So, she turned the other way and almost made up her mind until she heard the footsteps of someone else. They must've been lost as a result of the sign. The Cervitaur sighed as her good heart pulled her in the other direction, the wrong one, after fixing the sign. She found herself carfully memorizing her steps as she called out for any potentially lost students.

((How was that?))
Taeraya walked up to the school, excitement flowing throughout her body. She wasn’t the slight bit nervous, never really was one for being so.
She paused for a moment to take in the grand building before following the stream of other new students to the Clawdatorium. She was wearing her usual purple outfit complete with a worn cloak. It moved gently behind her as she walked, her long white hair tucked behind her ears.

Ever followed the stream of new students, not bothering to stop and check out the building beforehand. She felt rather exposed in her outfit, however. She was wearing significantly less then some of the other students. Her chains clanked together as she walked, making her flinch as a light blush spread across her pale white skin. She wished dearly that she could change, wear anything else, but she was bound to this forever.
Perry wasn't new, he'd grown up in this town after all, it was home.
The scarlet haired Peryton skated onto the school grounds at speed, sending other monsters diving for cover as he hurtled thoughtlessly through them. "think fast, get outta the way, hey MOVE!" he shouted as he refused to slow down for anyone.
"Peregrine Hartley!" The teacher scolded as he skidded his board to a halt just before the stairs.
Perry flinched at the use of his full name. "Sorry Miss." He muttered, picking up his board and not looking at the teacher. "Won't do it again."
"I should hope not." The teacher scolded.
Perry passed her, heading into the school corridor with a sour look on his face. It wasn't like he'd hurt anyone, sheesh.
"Remember, you're giving tours today!" The teacher called back.
Perry groaned. He'd tried so hard to avoid having to give the new kids tours, but short of cutting school for a week there was no real way to get around it. They needed guides, and Perry sadly, couldn't become invisible when it came time for their form tutors to pick a handful from each class.

Ronan was looking rather bewilderingly at a small map that had come from his welcome pack, muttering under his breath about how inefficient it was to not clearly signpost things and how anyone was supposed to find anything with so many similarly named rooms. He was currently trying to work out if the science lab he was standing outside of was the Extremely Deranged science lab or the Very Mad science lab.
He heard someone calling out but was so absorbed in his map he failed to respond.

Madison called out a few times before realizing that she was starting to loose her memory of the way back. As a result, she called out one last time, telling the student to try and retrace their steps to end up back on the right track before turning around herself. In a few minutes, she ended up walking into the Clawdatorium, avoiding eye contact and... well, preventing hitting any students with her antlers.
Ronan looked up at last, trying to figure out where the voice was. "hello?" he called back, but she was already gone.
He muttered under his breath and tried to retrace his steps, staring at the map and trying to make sense of it. Who drew this ridiculous thing anyway?
Staring down at the map he wasn't really paying much attention to the other people in the corridor he'd stumbled into.

Perry dumped his bag and board into his locker and trudged to the clawdatorium, muttering under his breath.
So consumed in his own personal bubble of foul mood he failed to pay much attention to where he was walking and in the crowd almost tripped over a chain wearing Djinn.
"Hey watch it!" He snapped at Ever.

Ever paused, turning to look at the boy that had run into her. She narrowed her eyes and huffed in frustration, “If I’m correct, which I am, you’re the one that ran into me. ”
She turned to continue on her way, rolling her eyes.
She turned to continue on her way, rolling her eyes.
"Semantics!" Perry yelled after her. Sheesh, new kids. He already hated them.
"Ye look like ye wanna punch somethin." A familiar accented voice behind Perry spoke.
Perry glared at his friend, a large black scaled Naga with vivid teal hair and four arms.
"W.. oh right, of course YOU'RE doing this tour thing, you live for this nonsense." Perry huffed.
The Naga, Nathair, laughed. "Aye, it's a good laugh. Come on, cheer up. Maybe ye'll hit it off with a few of the new students."
"Hit it off?" Perry raised an eyebrow.
"Well, ye know, get on with. Nay tha ye get on with many people mind. But maybe they'll be another misanthrope ye can be miserable with." Nathair chuckled softly.
Perry glared. "I'm not a misan... whatever."
"misanthrope." Nathair corrected. "An' ye are, but we will nay hold it against ye."
"yeah well... you're a jerk." Perry countered lamely.
Nathair smiled. "Aye, tha' I am." He rested a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Come on, we're supposed tae line up by the stage so we can be assigned our tour groups."
"There's no way I can convince you to take my group too?" Perry protested weakly.
"Afraid not. Ye'll be fine! " Nathair insisted. "Just.. dinnae try tae lose em in the catacombs this time."
"Hey! I didn't do that intentionally!" Perry protested. The group project in the catacombs had been an unmitigated disaster, they'd been lost for what felt like days, but they'd gotten out. Eventually. "that said.... that's not a bad idea...."
Nathair shook his head and nudged Perry toward the stage where a few other older students were gathering. Most of them looked excited to be here, which only made Perry more grumpy.
