Here's the OOC thread I mentioned. Don't got too much to say yet so....

@Iltheyn ... Welcome back!!!

Count me in, good friends on mine!

I have elves... good elves... who like to run away and get into trouble (like Achu) and I have evil elves
I do have a preference for playing evil ones (see Kalkas) .... if position is open...

I have thieves... mischevious thieves but with some good morals (like Aynor) and some walking the selfish path (like Calico who would sell his own friends for a reward or if his neck is on the line)

I also have kings available, I can play them good or bad as needed (under Conrad profile)

I have druids/mages, good and bad ones like Taff or Nimueh.

and to add spice to the story and make it all the more challenging, I have knights...
(righteous ones under Merthyr's profile) and crooked ones (under Pentre)

Anyways.... I leave it to the RP owner to let me in... and what positions he wants me to take.
I am very laid back when it comes to roles (primary or sidelines), so guys, you take your shares and let me know what is left to play)

Here goes a proposal...

I could have Camelot be a nearby kingdom... other side of the mountain... and the starting point for my bunch of characters is (as always), king Conrad banished magic under death penalty [or vanquishment to the wild forests beyond the border]

Fearing these creatures are still far too close to his realm for his comfort he now wants to send the magic creatures/elves to the kingdom beyond (Star's kingdom) for his own peace of mind.

He would try to strike a deal, sending a financial tribute / present to see if this kingdom beyond is willing to accept all magic wielders / elves that are kicked out of Camelot... making it their problem, totally unaware Zuhan is a kingdom of elves, ruled by elves and sending the human knights with such message is far from a ideal or a good idea.

Conrad might send Pentre and/or THM in charge of the "messengers" party alongside a few others with the task to cross the dreadful forest in between in order to deliver the proposal to the king, queen, princess, as well as bring back their answer.

Some crooked knights are fuming at being sent into the wolves den... without sufficient numbers... given Camelot tosses magic wielders, assassins, bandits and any outlaws into the very forest that this bunch of guards/knights now have to enter and cross to reach the other side.

Obviously this forest is infested with magic creatures and revenge-seeking bandits....

This is just an idea, up in the air, for you guys to agree, disagree or tweak !

...and I do agree a map for this RP would be lovely....

Sounds pretty solid to me, and plenty of potential for intrigue! Given classical fae, its inevitable with that set up.

I'll have to draw one up, then. I'm thinking since the world at large is not determined, the mountain would be a good centerpiece to it.

Delicious inexplicably placed humans, suddenly all over her forest. What's a girl to do?

And if a few go missing, who’s to say it the man-eating mantis woman and not, say, a bandit or something? There’s plenty to deflect the blame onto and she’s going to take full advantage of that.

Why assume its her anyway? There are so many dangers in the forest. It can't be helped if someone goes missing. They probably fell into a hole or something.

@Strawberry... are you bringing Iskra and her 2 kids??

Iskra and her sons aren’t set to join in, but if it’s fine with Iltheyn I’m sure they can make an appearance later in. With an elven kingdom present in the area, it would certainly be trouble if a missing prince from another clan was found wandering with bandits.

Tus, Hangman isn't a knight in most RPs He is a wanderer. I still gotta decide exactly how to fit him in. I just loved iltheyn's starting post so much and wanted to be part of it. It feels like ...... deep fantasy? It's hard to explain.

I do have other characters too! I feel like Hangman's timelessness and mystery would be a good fit, but I also have my dragon, a treant shaman and a fairy knight I NEVER use ... whatever the story needs!

Iltheyn always make such awesome starting posts, he's great with the opening scenes.

@THM no problem, it will be nice to see what you have in mind for this RP

I could see Jal and Hangman reaching a tenuous accord if they were left to meet on their own. As it is, I'm waiting til tomorrow to post because I want everyone to have a chance at posting in the start if they want to. I don't know who does and who doesn't.

Also I suppose I might make some generic kingdoms to add more weight to the council meeting, but I don't have very distinct ideas about who they'd be yet.

I don’t think everyone understands how excited I am for feeding ti— I mean, Avalynn to meet everyone. I haven’t gotten to use her yet save for a very short lived RP and I’m almost positive she’s going try and snack on someone. But I think she’s gonna like Jal and The Hanged Man too much to nom on them. Strange people are fun to talk to, and unless she gets bored she doesn’t like to eat them.

I feel like Isaiah might try to chat up Avalynn. He's married but still has a weakness for cute girls and Ava's upper body seems to fit that description.

I really, really like your writing on this. It reminds me of the stuff we used to write, ages ago. Something about it just feels good.

Would it be alright if I joined in on a certain bird? You know the one I'm talking about. It's a small thing, but I think it would be fun to put her in this setting.

@Strawberry I'm really enjoying the 'fish are friends, not food' vibes she's definitely giving off so far.

Depending on who posts by tomorrow, I may or may not close the rp. A lot of folks were interested but not everyone necessarily joins in. Not closing like deleting, but closing it so that newcomers can't join in it anymore. Prevents things from getting too chaotic as the story goes on.

So, who wants to help Ember escape? She doesn't like Zuhan....
