When the droids made no response, Captain Joshua opened the communications channel with ground control. "Unidentified spacecraft unresponsive. In light of yesterday's incident, we believe they may be scouts for an invasive force. Permission to open fire."

"Permission granted, carry on."

"Thank you GC. Spacewolves, prepare to open fire!"

If 1-3, guns miss
If 4-6, glancing shot on 1 droid
If 7-10, both droids hit and damaged
If 11-15, one droid destroyed
If 16+, both droids are disabled

rolled 1d20 and got a natural 15. After the modifier of +4, got 19

*the droids disappear from the spartan screens*

Supreme Emporer Kronz: "Prepare Dreadnought 3 and her escorts, board the troops, scorched earth invasion protocol."

GSE High General: "Right away your majesty."
*8 men rush into the room and help Supreme Emporer Kronz into his power armor.*

*All 6 aforementioned armies are boarded onto Dreadnought 3 and her escorts*

(
1-4 Only Dreadnought 3 is detected beginning preparations for hyperspace jump into Sengan Space, the rest are cloaked and ready for the second jump
5-8 All Dreadnoughts (Dreadnought 3, the Dreadnought 2's and the Dreadnought 1's) are detected the rest are cloaked and ready for the second jump
9+ Dreadnought 3 and her full escort are detected )

rolled 1d10 and got a natural 10. After the modifier of +2, got 12

As soon as an armed host was detected in deep space, the alarm was sounded signalling all active military staff members to draw arms and prepare for invasion. Within an hour, the entire Plutonian Corps of 2.5 billion soldiers were armed and ready for combat. The Spacewolves were dispatched on patrol, accompanied by the Fighter-class ships. The majority of the forces were, however, stationed on Pluto itself. Ground control was armed for anti-space warfare, with 3 massive anti-spacecraft railguns stationed at every camp on the planet. The satellites that provided a localised and system-wide network also had a secondary purpose. They could form a semi-permeable energy barrier around Pluto, a concoction drawn up by defence scientists decades ago and finally put in place in the last 3 years for all occupied planets. They allowed projectiles to exit but not enter the planet's atmosphere for a fully independent biosystem.

The Plutonian Corps had set up their defence force in the event of a barrier breach. Aircraft patrolled the skies as tanks and Armoured Fighting Vehicles scoured the land. All were prepared for the incoming invasion.

Meanwhile, the alert had been sounded in the rest of the system and all planets went into planetary lockdown. The scientists of Saturn saved their research and date in the data banks on Earth before initiating a total system wipe and forming a network air wall around their planet by deactivating their satellites' communication channels and setting up a closed network. They entered the underground bunker as part of the SOP in the event of planetary invasion. The surface was manned by more military members who were present for security purposes and reinforced by the Martian Legions.

The same SOP was in place for all planets in the system. Civilians were to enter the underground bunkers, where food, water and energy stockpiles were put in place to last 3 years in the case of food and 1 year regarding energy stores. This was to limit the scope of warfare and reduce its impact on the safety and security of civilians to preserve economic, social, psychological and civil defence. 4 of the 5 pillars of total defence lauded by the Sengan government.

The last line of defence for the civilians were the oft unheard of Subterranean Infantry and Armour Regiments, trained in tunnel, land and anti-air warfare. They represented about 20% of those housed underground however and their main advantage was their ability to fight underground more than anything.

((DJ, this is your last warning. Orose requested you limited conflict to skirmishes for early game. They're worried you're going to try to go into full warfare, but don't.))

Councilor Ulyre continued guiding the progress of the Commonwealth, making sure their trade goods to their allies was provided steadily.

The fleet on Gallifrey split, one heading toward the origin of the orange light while the other caught up with Tardis.
"What's the emergency you requested our help in?" They asked the Time Lord.

That way they have an excuse to male a tactical retreat and if Kronz is reasonable at all he can say, "sh*t, going to war against another advanced civilisation wont work because we don't have the resources for sustained warfare." And from there he can develop his diplomatic policy))

*High Emporer Zeno enters the Supreme Emporer's chamber*

GSE High Emporer Zeno: "Your majesty."
Supreme Emporer Kronz: "Yes, High Emporer Zeno?"
GSE High Emporer Zeno: "I must advise that you open the empire's borders to other empires for trade."
Supreme Emporer Kronz: "And why is that High Emporer?"
GSE High Emporer Zeno: "The empire simply cannot survive like this your highness." *a hologram showing resource production and consumption rates flickers into view*
"At our current growth rate, we have about a year before we can no longer provide enough food or water for our citizens, the mines can scarcely produce enough usable alloys to arm our troops, a significant amount of infrastructure is in disrepair."
Supreme Emporer Kronz: "A dire situation indeed. Very well, open the borders to trade."
*Supreme Emporer Kronz stamps his seal on an order to open the GSE borders to trade and sends copies of it to the GSE High Emporers to be carried out.*

((That's the spirit))

The Spartan host drew nearer and nearer to the border of the Sengan system. Everyone, the Spacewolf pilots, the Plutonian Vanguard, ground control and even MG Han Seng were on a knife-edge as they all tried to steel themselves for battle.

Then the inexplicable happened. The Spartans turned around and warped back to their system. No one knew why, they only knew that they had been spared from the fate of war. For a moment, the communications channels remained quiet. A resounding cheer arose from the ground troops and Spacewolf pilots. GC took up the cry and even the command core smiled while wiping away their sweat. The only one who remained stony-faced was MG Han Seng.

Senga had dodged a bullet but who was shooting? Were they to be hit by a barrage of ammunition? MG Tee Kee pondered over their fortune and the implications it held for his defence force. He made up his mind and started drafting a new order.

To all personnel stationed with the Plutonian Vanguard:
We have been exceedingly fortunate to avoid war with an alien empire. However, we must not become complacent. Ours is the first line of defence the Sengan Imperium has in defence of it's home system. We must remain vigilant and we must be prepared for combat at all times. Therefore, the command core has seen fit to extend the duration of this mobilisation exercise for it to count towards reservist liability.

In the coming years, we will push for more rigorous combat training and increase the annual reservist liability to a total of 4 weeks a year. Those who have completed their reservist liability and those who are more than half-way through their 10-year cycle will be exempt from this development. Our defence scientists stationed on Saturn will also be working alongside us more in future to upgrade our equipment in preparation for the event of invasion.

With regards to our current situation, the Imperator has ordered for all planets to remain in lockdown for the next week in case the incursion returns.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I wish you all a good in-camp-training.

Regards,
MG Li Han Seng

*a group of transports with a diplomatic team onboard warps into Sengan space with all hardpo8nts retracted, a hologram showing the Sengan flag, the intergalactic peace symbol and the GSE flag is transmitted to all Sengan ships in the area. A week passed without incident and the Sengan Imperium emerged from lockdown. In that time, communications picked up a signal from deep space but it was in an unrecognisable language and dismissed until such a time came when it could be translated.

Isaiah renewed contact with Councillor Ulyre by sending out a signal through the previous communications channel.
*transmitter droid translates its peace message into Sengan using linguistic data obtained from the previously sent Scout Probe Droid*
*Spartan Citizens are skeptical at first but soon rejoice at the news that the Empire has opened its borders to trade as this gives them hope that the food and water crisis will end and shows that the imperial government truly does care for the welfare of its citizens, however the military planets shall remain closed to outside contact as there are many of the empire's secrets hidden on them*
Location: Parade/Training Grounds | Military Base India Alpha | Kraxia | Kraxia System | Outer Sector | Galactic Spartan Empire
*High General Rakor, who oversees all GSE Army Forces in the Outer Sector, walks into the parade grounds, clipboard in hand, with his 3 Generals following close behind.*

High General Rakor: "ATTEN-TION! ALL PERSONNEL PREPARE FOR INSPECTION!"

*The 1st and 2nd Kraxia Defense Armies, grouped by Corps, stand shoulder to shoulder in rank and file and stand at attention at the High General's Command, ready for their uniforms, weapons, and gear to be inspected.*

*High General Rakor approaches the 101st Walker Regiment | 1st Walker Division | I Corps of the 1st Kraxia Defense Army first as they are standing nearest to him. At this point the General approaches the Trooper standing on the left front corner of the formation.*

General: "Trooper...mark."

*The trooper stoically flips his standard issue rifle in a way that causes it to flip twice in the air and land precisely in the General's waiting gloved hand with the barrel pointing upward *

General: "When was this rifle last submitted for maintenance?"

Trooper: "SIR! THIS RIFLE WAS LAST SUBMITTED FOR MAINTENANCE 2 DAYS AGO SIR!"

General: "Outstanding."

*the general rotates the rifle so that it is pointing to his left with the right side of the rifle facing upward. The General looks over the rifle from barrel to butt and then flips the rifle so that the right side of the rifle is facing upward and looks over the rifle from barrel to butt again.*

"Weapon is in working condition. Good."

*the general flips the rifle in a way that causes it to flip twice in the air and land back in the trooper's gloved hand with the barrel pointing upward, at which point the trooper places the butt of the rifle on the ground.*

General: "I trust your armor is well maintained as well?"

Trooper: "SIR! I TAKE SPECIAL CARE TO ENSURE MY ARMOR IS WELL MAINTAINED, SIR!"

General: "Good, just as you should. Put your helmet on for me."

*The trooper puts on his helmet and locks it into the collar connection on his torso armor.*

General: "Demonstrate your armor's full range of mobility for me."

*The trooper displays the range of movement for his head, then left arm, then right arm, then torso, then left leg, then right leg*

"Everything seems to be in working order, stand at parade rest until inspection is completed."

*the trooper does as he is told and inspection proceeds in this manner until all the troopers are inspected*
