Wren sighs. She knows that Lilly wouldn't give up until she picked something. Wren grabbed a plain white t-shirt and a flannel.

I smiled at wren and whsipered "at less it's not treft clothes fight" I said to her giggling

"Thrift stores are nice. And cheap." She said quietly.

I laugh coughing a little I put a shirt up to me "come on wren this is new life for us" I said her smiling

Wren ignores her and goes back to the car.

The woman frowns a bit.

I look at wren as she left "she always been shy" I said to the women I smiled as I pick my top one shirt plus got wren shirts

She nodded. "I understand...."

I smiled as we exit the store "what now" I ask happy I cough hard again this time with blood I tryed to cover it

The woman rushed Lilly into the car, worried. "Now we go to the doctor, hon....."

I look at her worried "I'm fine" I said looking at wren scared

She hugged Lilly, tears rolling down her cheeks. "No... You're not...."

I look at her "that women she use to lock me in basement with mold and dust sometimes if I someone miss behaves she put hot liquid down our throats" I said crying I look at my lap

The woman nods. "I know. I was an Orphan there once, too... Don't worry about the others- They've been.... Well, they're free."

I look at her they been free from her "I'm fine it heals after few days" I said not wanting doctor to see damage she done

Wren just sits. She doesn't care about the immediacy of the situation, nor Lilly's backstory of her sickness. She just leans her head up against the window of the car, and watches the pavement fly past her.

She sighs. "Fine... But if it gets worse, I'll get you checked on, okay?"

I nodded feeling throat hurting I look at wren she was looking out the window I smiled see houses

"We're almost there! You ready to finally go home for the first time?" She said with a big smile.

Wren held her bear to her chest. Everyone teased her for having it. But, it meant more to her than anyone knows. It was worth more than $1,000,000 to her.
