What is your favorite anime? There are so many animes out there and I wanted to get a suggestion on what should I watch. I have watched

Captain Harlock: Space Pirate (movie, but still good! Not exactly 'anime', it's the realistic style)

I don't watch as much anime as I used to, but I still have a number of favorites.

It's been a while since I actively watched those, but I re-watched Fushigi Yuugi recently; also watched Death Note, Attack on Titan and Dangan Ronpa with my boyfriend, and my all time favorites being Hellsing Ultimate, Slayers and Appleseed. Also I really enjoyed Digimon and Pokemon back then when they were on German TV. But at some point of my youth I really read any Manga I could get my hands on, I used to somehow prefer them to watching Anime over all, but back then there was also no Netflix or YouTube or anything, while my town had a Manga store

I'm very particular about my animes, so all of these are appropriate and don't have a lot of fanservice (with the exception of Seven Deadly Sins). Here's a little more of a breakdown of my suggestions:

Your Lie in April --- Modern realistic, super in the feels. You WILL cry.

Children of the Whales --- High fantasy, medieval-ish area. Unique story. Also cried now and then, but so good.

Soul Eater --- I'm in the midst of watching this. It's part comedy, part modern (1900s) fantasy, but I'm getting into a deeper storyline so it's really interesting.

One Punch Man --- Modern/future superhero comedy. PURE GOLD. Thought I would hate this, I loved it. Binged the whole season in a matter of days (around three jobs xD)

Gargantia on the verdurous planet --- Sci-Fi, and EPICLY DONE. Would watch this again in a heartbeat. Great characters, awesome twists. 10/10

ID-0 --- Sci-Fi, very unique storyline. Pretty good, but not quite as good as Gargantia. I would have liked to see it go a few places that it didn't, but still very good.

Captain Harlock: Space Pirate --- Sci-Fi pirates. What more can I say? This dude's a bad@$$ and I love it.

Violet Evergarden --- Rough 1900s? It's set in an 'alternate world' so there's no America, etc, but it's mostly realistic. Cars and planes and stuff exist but it's during a wartime era. SO GOOD. Not much action, but a lot of emotional and character development. I adored it.

Seven Deadly Sins --- Medieval fantasy. Really makes you question who are the "good guys" and who are the "bad guys". A bit of fanservice, the main character is a bit of a perv, but the character development is great. Eagerly awaiting season 2.

Honestly, not been watching anime for that long, but my person favourites have to be:-

~ Tokyo Ghoul (cliche, I know.)
~ Another (finished it and LOVED it)
~ Attack On Titan (another cliche)

And my ultimate favourite, OWARI NO SERAPH.

That is my most FAVOURITE anime EVER. It's so beautiful ;-;
