Just wondering if the push notifications don't work for anybody else with an LG G6 as their cell phone. I have tried many times and wish that it would work, but it just won't. I never get any notifications like I should.
Wondered if maybe I was doing it wrong, but I doubt that. I went into settings and set it up like I did with my old phone, at least.
Thanks in advance for any advice anybody could give me.

The push notifications are known the be ... a little glitchy.
I don't think it has anything to do with the model of your phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 and they fail repeatedly. They work for a week or two perfectly and then just vanish into nothingness.
Eventually you'll get a PM from the server which reads as follows:
Deleting and setting up the push notifications again will fix it... but then they die again for seemingly no reason.

Your push notification subscription Phone was rejected by the Google push servers 10 or more times in a row, indicating they have expired your subscription. Since it wasn't working, we've removed it. Please go ahead and resubscribe the desired device. Apologies for the inconvenience! We are actively working to learn what causes some subscriptions to expire frequently, and working to give them more longevity.

Notifications are an issue Kim's been aware of for awhile, and it's been on her to-do list. Typically they seem to work okay for a time, then get increasingly delayed until they stop working. I'm not sure if the behavior varies, but if that doesn't sound like what's happening for you, best bet is to send in a bug report. The more detailed you can be about the steps you're taking trying to set it up, the better.
Yeah no, I don't even get an initial notification, let alone multiple until it stops working. So I guess I'll send a bug report so it's known, then. Thank you guys for the help, though.
Alas and alack, the current notifications system has proved so glitchy that I am slowly working to completely replace it; no new bugs will be fixed to the existing system, as it is not long for this world.
