I stumbled upon this place through a google search actually. I had been a member of few other online chat based rp sites and they were always difficult to find and keep partners around, or find anyone that didn't devolve into cyber or terrible god mode wankery. and lo and behold I found this place and I've never been happier.

God Modes really suck. Quickly ruins the RP, but good thing that you found this place!

I remember not remembering how I'd gotten so drunk, and had come home from a really late dinner out with friends. We'd been discussing a few things that got me thinking about writing out old rps in a new light, with perspective and experience now on my side... but manhandled by whiskey, that became increasingly difficult.

I spilled a drink on myself and in a rush whilst searching through google for some related info, I wound up on someone's group about... knitting, I think? And yet, it said something about roleplay on the banner. Confused and such, I took a look around.

The rest is history.

Mist told me about it. I'd quit GaiaOnline some time prior and hadn't ever found another RP site I felt comfy in since even before that.

I was just googling around for RP sites cause I wanted to find a nice one and this one has yet to disappoint (:

I heard about it from a friend and I liked the sound of it so I checked it out for myself and decided to join it was one of the best choices I have ever made.

I found it through Furcadia, actually! A lot of people in the dream I was frequenting (can't remember where that was by now) had a link to their character profiles in their Furc description, and I thought it was really cool
Been here ever since. ^^ That was seven years ago now!

I scanned down the list of top RPG sites, looking for a place that facilitated the type of RPG matchmaking I like after a different site I'd enjoyed shut down.

Knitting group? Here, right? Must be Ate Sanne's group no doubt...

Never been to Furcadia to be honest. Okay, maybe once but I never got to sign in and check it out. From what I see since my stay here, is Furcadia a site for like furries?

Before I found RPR I roleplayed on Furcadia and was using freewebs to make web pages for my charaters. Then one day someone I roleplayed with was like, "You need to join this site. It's for roleplaying but you can make kick butt websites for your characters here, it blows freewebs right outta the water." Boy, oh boy was he ever right! After joining RPR it wasn't long before I stopped using furcadia all together.

After having found some really old profiles on here from ~2010 that I actually forgot about (and have since deleted, as well as the original account, and reuploaded onto this account), I remember finding this site due to getting commissioned by someone on deviantART for theirs and their friends' Pokémon characters. They all had their own profiles that were really neat and organised, and I thought to myself: "wow, this place is actually super neat. I have to make an account here as well to get a lot of my own characters organised!"

Fast forward to 2015 when I actually started using this site with a different username, I am finally using my RPR profile for that purpose.

Through Furcadia- I quickly realized RPR was better than Freewebs, and less taxing on my old computer than Wix.

Seems like most of you guys came from Furcadia...

I actually found RPR through a fellow roleplayer from Hogwarts is Here. It's actually a great alternative to HiH, since that site has been going downhill for a while.

That's not surprising. If I remember right, Kim herself came from there, and developed RPR due to her disappointment in what was available for profile building.

I've actually never heard of Furcadia. What is it, exactly?
