The first thing that comes to mind is Cain and Abel.

Perhaps Thor and Loki? They're not blood related, but they've also fought as well.

I was thinking since he is a gangsta and normally most gangsters have a family of gangsters. Maybe there was a sort of deal that was going on?..

Totally random but the Capone's were a famous mob family, I mean look at Al. But Al's oldest brother Vincenzo did everything he could to hide his family history and where he came from. That's what came to mind for me.

It can only take place after a fall out but it is very time consuming to gain such trust after the fighting has taken place.

There's also Ronnie and Reggie, the Kray twins who were gangsters. They would physically get into fights sometimes.

Edit: Then again, it's a falling out, so I don't think it's asking for who.

Well, The main character did a wealthy man's daughter with him when he was running, so maybe that's the metaphor
