I am very much aware that "bumping" a forum topic isn't really appreciated, but I was wondering what actually was considered "bumping"? And, how long one should wait to say something "interesting or relevant" to their post to get it back to a more seen page?
For instants, I currently posted a thread in the LFRP about starting my own Wolf Pack with a friend. And while the thread itself has not had any replies at the time of this point, I was wondering how long I should/had to wait before replying it to myself with some sort of "bump" type comment? And how I could get away with bumping it without actually saying "bump"?
Any help would be lovely! I also hope that I put this in the right spot... If I didn't, I'm sorry! *fake pathetic crying* Please forgive me!!!! (lol)

I usually wait three days before I try to bump a forum post, especially if it doesn’t get any bites. I believe you are supposed to try and bump the thread with an idea rather than just saying “bump!”
But that’s all I know. I think we should kidnap people into the pack, personally. Make them one of us whether they like or not. (Kidding . . . maybe.

We consider a "bump" to be any message that:
1: Does not add NEW information to the thread.
2: Is not in response to another player.
Even with new information, we are a little leery because new information can be added by editing the OP, which is more user-friendly anyway.
The general rule is, if you're not actively responding to another user, think carefully before you post.
We actively discourage bumping under all circumstances.
You MUST wait until your topic is no longer on the first page of the forums, even after that we discourage it, but if your response is something other than "bump" and useful to players, we may let it slide.
Remember that RPR is not like other forums and communities. Your thread's position doesn't have nearly as much to do with whether or not players can find you here. That's because we have the RP Finder tool which is integrated with the RP forums.
