By the source of knowledge: library.
Top of the columns + columns have spines.
idk, makes me think of the Ancient Library of Alexandria, which was rumoured to have caught fire because Ceasar set fire to some ships
sounds relevant enough

The answer is related to the RP Repository since it's a puzzle challenge type
yea and it's a pirate/ship themed year
does the answer have to literally be an RPR term or just heavily related to it?
Because an answer Merged together?
Just a thought :33
or just the letters of the books whose titles are turned sideways. bc the letters are close to the top of the column??
good idea~ I'll work on it
well no, nvm, it literally would spell paha/hapa/apha (which is close enough to alpha, but i digress)
There's an 'Epic Week 2019' book there, which seems a bit out of place. It'd be at the top of the 'column' of books (if you're looking at it sideways)?

Ok so, idk if anyone has proposed this yet, so sorry if I'm repetitive, but one of the bottled messages es "these columns have spines" wich kind of reassures me on the idea that it refers to the pinned thread.
It's the source of information of the subforum it's at. And it's on TOP of Al of said subforum's columns.

Maybe! I'm not sure if I'd wanna call a pin a "spine," but you could be on to something. I'm gonna brute force this a little bit. In the first video, written in the book of alien languages (the "source of knowledge" ?), there are two phrases that currently haven't been used at all. "icvo rbono ano" and "iksn ar hkpr"
Also "Ki," "hp," and "but use only."

Spines likely means it's specifically a reference to the columns being books.
I still can't shake the feeling that it might be referring to spinal columns, with the "source of knowledge" being a brain. Though I guess brains are mostly receptacles for knowledge.
If it is books, what the heck does "the tops of the columns" mean. Nothing seems to be on top of the books in the video, unless there's something suuuuper sneaky in the wood grain. Is there something to do with the two blank books, which are lighter in color? Or is this referring to an older video or comic entirely, that maybe also had books?
The spines do all have writing on them. I'm figuring there's something we're just not seeing to do with letter rearrangement.
Merge, too... I'm not sure if that has something to do with the answer. Maybe a mergesort on the book titles, or something? Hrrrm.

Two of the spines don't!
The second and second to last are pale colored and don't seem to have any text.

if it's a code, could indicate spaces...
That's a very interesting idea! That would make a phrase like this: _ _________ _
p teatbiatc e?
