I found a relevant message in a bottle

"Clues to the language are hidden in the library
Now you have an empty bottle, too!

Looking at the video again, there's definitely an aquatic language message on the back of the tablet, as well as three messages in the book- two in morse code and one in alien language. I think those may have something to do with this riddle?

Reman, they might! We did translate those already. The back of the tablet says "Find the gate" (same as the alien script on the front), the morse code says "iksn ar hkpr," the oceanic script says "icvo rbono ano," and the second morse code says "but use only."

Also in the book, on opposing pages we can't see very well, there is oceanic script that says "hp", and morse code that says "ki." MAybe there's more that's cut off?

So it's definitely related to the enciphered text in the Tome, I think. Just a matter of getting those cracked open.

Sounds about right! There IS some oceanic script in the book, but only those two letters. How do the alien and morse phrases help us decode the oceanic script?

In my mind, 50% of epic week prep was just scouring the internet for the best "expectantly observing" gifs the world has to offer.

The only thing is, where does our third clue come into play...? "Order matters" has to mean something, and so far, I'm not sure what.

Yes. Yes. Well, lemme think. So ...
1) "hp" in oceanic
2) "iksn ar hkpr" in morse
3) "ki" in morse
4) "icvo rbono ano" in alien
5) "but use only" in morse

So maybe the "order" here is the order in which they appear in the book

It'd be pretty dang hilarious if our method to language-'learning' actually just made things harder for us in the long run, ahaha.
