Ali sighed. Well...it might be good training for the boy.

He's an old man now, and he may not even remember who you are, but you must absolutely not be disrespectful to him. I'm sure they love you dearly..." Even if they never actually show it to her. They have their reasons...Najila wasn't born of the realm or the Mankhan, and she's not a spark of the beast. Despite Ali's best efforts, he can't make everyone silent or cull their opinions, but many secretly resent the fact that Najila is the current generation's Ace and the most likely candidate for the future leadership of Shea.

If that does end up happening, Najila would be the first Empress of Shea. After all, there had never been a woman who ruled the country before. "May the Master's blessing be with you,"

Najila's eyes drifted away from her father's and her mood seemed to dip for a moment. She had wanted to simply walk away without making her departure into an issue or a scene but, apparently, her father had other ideas.

Oh well...

Her grandparents would probably have been glad to see her go, anyway. And, even if they weren't, she wasn't going to wait for their approval to leave. She turned in the direction of her grandfather's place and began walking in his direction.

"Sure, dad."

Ali would see his daughter walk leisurely towards his parents' home as she went. Anyone else watching would've only seen a thunderbolt as Najila started her journey.

A minute or two later, her grandpa would hear a knocking on his door.
