This topic is for discussing clues and potential answers to the cat symbol in Epic Week 2018. Please stay on topic. Remember, these riddles are designed to be challenging and require a group of people noodling together; don't feel intimidated if you don't know the answer right away. Every little idea can help.
From the first clue and symbol, I'm feeling Black Panther/related things
The other two clues here will likely be easy to unlock tomorrow.
If it is Black Panther/related things, I'm claiming the solve credit
Hidden Nations I've heard of:
1. The Land of Fire: The Land of Fire is one of the largest and most powerful countries in the series of Naruto, and the home of the main characters of the series. Its government leader is the Fire Daimyō. The Land of Fire was the first country to adopt a ninja village, Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf), a custom other countries would soon adopt. The Land of Fire is appropriately oriented towards the element of fire, typically having very bright and warm weather. While not the physically largest country, it has the largest hidden village.
2. The Land of Water: The Land of Water is oriented towards the element of water. Its government leader is the Water Daimyō. It is composed of many islands, with each having its own unique traditions. The country's weather is typically cool and full of mist and lakes. In some places, like the area where Haku grew up, it is very cold and snows quite a bit.
3. The Land of Sound: The Land of Sound is a neighbor country of the Land of Fire. It is a relatively new country in the political scene, though it has existed for some time under the name of the Land of Rice Fields (田の国, Ta no Kuni; English TV "Land of Rice Paddies"). Orochimaru conquered the country and convinced its daimyō to let him establish his own ninja village.
4. The Land of Earth: The Land of Earth (土の国, Tsuchi no Kuni) has seen little attention in the series thus far. It is located north-west of the Land of Fire. Its government leader is the Earth Daimyō. The country is mostly comprised of desolate, rocky areas. The border of the Land of Earth runs along a rocky mountain range, blocking communication with other countries. The wind blowing from the north passes over these mountains, carrying small rocks from the Land of Earth to the surrounding countries. This famous natural phenomenon is called "Rock Rain" (岩雨, Gan'u).
5. The Land of Lightning: The Land of Lightning is located on a peninsula north-east of the Land of Fire and is one of the Five Great Countries. Its government leader is the Lightning Daimyō. In the centre of the country are vast mountain ranges, whose many thunderstorms are said to give the country its name. From these mountain ranges, many rivers flow to the sea, creating a very crooked coastline that displays an impressive oceanic beauty. There are many hot springs located within the country.
6. The Land of Wind: The Land of Wind is one of the more prominent countries in the series of Naruto. It is located to the south-west of the Land of Fire and borders the Land of Rivers and the Land of Rain. Its government leader is the Wind Daimyō. The country covers a vast realm, but that realm is largely composed of deserts. Because there is very little rainfall throughout the year, the people of the country live in villages built on one of the desert's many oases. Despite the country's extremely harsh environment, it has a large population. Although they have warred with each other in the past, the Land of Wind is on good terms with the Land of Fire, with a great deal of trade going on between the two countries.
7. The Land of Iron: The Land of Iron (鉄の国, Tetsu no Kuni) is an icy, snow-covered country. It is politically unusual in that it has remained neutral and never been involved in the ninja wars. In fact, the shinobi have a rule since long ago that they would not meddle with the land. Despite this, it is said to have an incredibly strong military which is manned by samurai, instead of ninja.
8. The Land of Snow: The Land of Snow was the focus of Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, in which it had been taken over by a tyrant, Dotō Kazahana, after he killed his brother and predecessor, Sōsetsu Kazahana. Its hidden village is Yukigakure.
9. The Land of the Sky: The Land of the Sky is featured in Naruto Shippūden 2: Bonds. The country was formed by ninja from several countries that could mould their chakra to mist in order to fly. It is said that they fought in the Second Shinobi World War, and their hidden village was destroyed in the war by Konohagakure for challenging the Five Great Shinobi Countries, but the country itself survived. They apparently have quite the reputation as Tsunade was terrified that the descendants of the survivors, were attacking Konohagakure. Their civilization appears to be fairly advanced, best demonstrated by their usage of highly advanced forms of aviation not seen elsewhere in the Five Great Shinobi Countries. They include fliers that use chakra to operate and kunai launchers that can fire rapidly along with the ability to drop bombs, and a flying contraption that can fire chakra lasers from the sky; due to this powerful and unexpected air raid, Konohagakure was easily devastated. The Sky ninja's base is a giant temple named Ancor Vantian (meaning "Fortress of the Empire"), which is described as the "ultimate weapon of destruction". Shinnō is from this village.
10. Ancient Soleanna: "The city is a constitutional monarchy, with an economy dominated by tourism and precision machinery. Politically, it does not appear to be part of the United Federation, or under the protection of the Guardian Units of Nations.Reigning monarchs apparently eschew the title "King" or "Queen", and Soleanna's sovereign is generally known as 'Duke' if male or either 'Duchess' or 'Princess' if female. The small nation is apparently wealthy and prosperous; with its urban environments bearing resemblance to modern Mediterranean cities. However, Soleanna is shown to possess highly advanced technology, as is evident in Aquatic Base, a research lab underneath the ancient Royal Palace (located in Kingdom Valley). The city worships a deity known as Solaris, "The Eternal Sun God", who is honored during the "Festival of the Sun". Soleanna's sovereign during the events of Sonic the Hedgehog is the young Princess Elise, introduced while presiding over this ceremony. In the game's timeline, the ancient castle that used to house the royal family in Kingdom Valley has been abandoned after the Solaris Project accident. The new castle is on an island off of Castle Town near New City – although it is unclear if this remains true in the new timeline after the game." Also, according to Silver the Hedgehog, the island is considered a nation, but it is unknown after this game in the Sonic franchise if it was still a nation, therefore it is hidden as a universe all by itself.

@cT - Good thoughts, but I'm not sure if any of those would be counted as sci-fi though?
Wakanda is a hidden-ish sci-fi nation, though. If the symbol is a bonus clue, y'know, Black Panther.
Then again, these usually aren't recently relevant things, are they? Certainly not so obvious.

Well... no harm in trying them all out

The Honorable symbol answer was from the recent Star Trek series! Besides, Black Panther's been around for ages. Wakanda definitely sounds worth looking into.
Aye, Fallout 4 is also very recent and it was an answer to another riddle. I think we're on the right track with Black Panther here.
Well, to be fair, Fallout 4 has been out for about two or three years now, whereas Black Panther was released just within the last year.
However!!
To both their credits, as Rat has stated, Black Panther has been established series. Fallout as well! Especially since InterPlay's release of the first Fallout game in 1997.

I mean, the movie was just released, but the comics have been around for awhile...
I know Wakanda itself is well established. I just meant it's so talked about right now with the movie being so recent. Heck, it was probably still early in theaters when these were all gathered.
I'm not saying to ignore the possibility. Just that I'd be more surprised if it is something Black Panther than if it isn't.
Should be more clear once the other clues are unlocked.

Riddles aren't that old I was approached to provide for one barely over a week ago! (I ended up not being able to come up with anything so there's no Seraph riddles this year, but that's neither here nor there)
Also wouldn't be surprised if it was Voltron-related; the Alteans (or whatever they're called in this most recent iteration) were a known quantity, sure, but their remnants were typically hidden by the start of series. So possibly that.
And the lions would fit the paw symbol as well...
If it is Voltron-related, you can claim solve idea Forta

I'm not too familiar with the new Voltron (but I've really wanted to watch it for a long time), but yeah, so far that also fits well! Not just because of it being sci-fi or the pawprint, but also because lions are cats and this is the Cat symbol!
120 people online but the clue isn't unlocking?
EDIT: There we go!
EDIT: There we go!
It could possibly need to be an exact number, hrm.
