Please read Ashild's profile before responding! It's going to make a lot more sense.
Digging deep underground for treasure (or whatever you choose), the ground starts to crack under [YC]'s feet and they fall into a large, well-lit cavern. Small stone houses are grouped together in the middle, lights shining through the openings where windows should be. Markets are set up a small distance away from the houses but are still packed full of... creatures. They looked human but they had horns. Some big, some small, but horns none-the-less.
Most of them turn to look at [YC], the soft chatter growing to a cold silence. They all stare with wide eyes, as still as ancient statues.
One of them slowly approaches [YC], hand on their weapon. Their gender was difficult to decipher but after a few seconds of examining, it seemed to be more female than male.
What [YC] does next could be life or death.

Quinn knew they shouldn't have followed those stupid vines. Most people would avoid strange fines growing out of a crack in the ground. But Quinn couldn't help themselves.
They hit the ground, and landed flat on their back. They groaned as they got up, their wrist had gotten bent at an odd angle when they hit the ground. Quinn held their wrist, looking up at the figure in front of them.
Upon seeing a woman with curving horns, Quinn thought they had hit their head on the way down. "S-Sorry." Was the only thing they could think to stutter out.

Upon seeing a woman with curving horns, Quinn thought they had hit their head on the way down. "S-Sorry." Was the only thing they could think to stutter out.
The woman narrows her eyes and slightly tilts her head to the left. She looks Quinn up and down, before taking another step forward. "How did you get here?" Her tone was cold and demanding. She was on high alert and it showed. She slowly wraps her fingers around the handle of her weapon, not looking away from them for even a second.
"I know I sh-shouldn't have, but my curiosity got the best of me. There were vines g-growing out of a w-weird crack in the ground, so I was trying to figure out where they were coming f-from. The ground just, it just gave out, and I fell, and now I'm here." They were speaking fast, keeping their eyes firmly on the ground at the woman's feet, trying to ignore the threatening looking weapon at her side. As they spoke, small patches of grass grew from the ground where they were using their one good hand to support their weight.
She stands up tall and lets go of her blade. She gazes back at the crowd of people and nods once before yelling out: "Di vaiygir." All of the people release a sigh of relief and continue chatting and shopping, the children running around once again. Ashild looks up at the hole above them and sighs. "Are you hurt?"
Quinn still seems wary of the woman. "I think I might have sprained my wrist, but it's nothing serious." They look up from the ground, still avoiding eye contact however, as the try to stand.
"Good. Now we just need to get you out of here." Her voice was still cold but not as much as it previously was. She cracks her knuckles and looks back at him. "You just had to stick your nose where it didn't belong."
They follow Ashild still holding their wrist carefully, "I am sorry. I should know better than to be reckless. Curiosity killed the cat after all." They smile a bit at their own joke, finally looking around at the subterranean town.
"Well, you don't seem threatening. We don't usually welcome outsiders." She sighs and turns around, walking towards the village. "I told Levion we needed to take care of those vines, but no!"
Quinn looked at the ground again, laughing nervously, "If the vines were already a problem I probably didn't help. Plants tend to act a bit... strange around me."
To demonstrate they pull a small seed from their pocket. Quinn twirls it idly between their fingers for a moment, before the seed slowly begins to sprout.

She watches the seed in awe. "How are you doing that..? That's amazing..."
((Yeah, of course))
((Yeah, of course))
Quinn watched the plant in her hand for a moment before responding. "I don't really know how it works. It just kind of happens. It gets worse when I'm nervous," Quinn laughed a bit, "which is always."
Ashild nods and chuckles a bit. She turns back to the village and stretches her arm in the air. "Yeah, I got that. You seem jumpy. Like you give in easily. That can get you into a lot of trouble up above"
"Tell me about it. That's why I spend most of my time alone." Quinn tucked the plant, which had grown around her finger, into their pocket.
"That sounds lonely." She looks over her shoulder at them with a raised eyebrow.
Quinn smiles, mainly to themselves, "I don't think it is, I actually prefer to be alone most of the time. I'm not sure why, it's just... better I guess?" Quinn keeps their eyes on the ground while they talk "What about you? Do you have many friends?"
She sighs. "Friends? No. Acquaintances? Yes. I tend not to keep people too close. They would just be a tool that could be used against me. Why subject myself to that weakness?" She turns her head forward and continues to walk.
"I can understand that." They walk in silence with Ashild for a while before saying, "Where are we going anyway?"
"The infirmary. You hurt your wrist, right." She scratches the back of her neck and yawns.
