The room was wet and smelled faintly of mildew and the metallic tinge of blood; you would find as you awoke, that your hands remained bound to the wall behind you by hefty chains, as were your legs, and even a rather heavy and uncomfortably chill iron was placed around your neck. From a small (terribly small) window to your right, a window sat, showcasing a snowy tundra that was looking particularly frigid, but at least this light gave you some grasp of time.

"Where am i?" You would call into the darkness, and silence met your answer- and then came a puff of air, somehow colder than that which filled the space.

"You, rat, have entered the dragon's den." The voice cooed, and the click of heels signaled their approach. A figure cut through the faint light that speared through the room, and brought your eyes to the lithe body of your captor; a man, though by his darkened skin it was clear he wasn't human. A tail swept from the darkness, lined with scales and tipped with what looked like an efficiently sharpened gemstone, and this blade-like tail moved to brush your cheek- it was frigid, and stung even just brushing over your skin.

"And I, little one, am the Dragon."

When a member of your party goes missing near the border of the Kingdom of Cyran, a highly militaristic haven for Dokkalfar, there's only one possibility- the bounty for non-dokkalfar that's famed in Cyran, and worse than that- for humans specifically, who received the worst and yet the most public deaths.

But with an entire Kingdom out for your heads, perhaps purely for the money, or perhaps to defend this Kingdom they call their home, rescuing your comrade won't be so simple.

As for the one trapped in the dungeons of the King himself, will you be able to escape the grasp of the dragon before he has your neck? Or can you crack the ice that covers his heart enough to win his mercy and mercy for your party as well?

And what of the massive glittering egg that sits, guarded at all hours, in the throne room, feet behind the throne of the King himself? Specifically, of the shattered shell; what had grown in there, and more pressingly, where is it now?

Looking for, obviously, members to the party, most species welcome. For the one kidnapped, a human would be most preferred, thanks to Kayghet's hatred of the species, but he'll hate just about anything honestly.

Bonus points for women, but the chances of you gaining his mercy as a female captive are slim to none. Romance is iffy, seeing as the most favorable conditions here wouldn't exactly correspond with the most favorable conditions for romance. If that's your goal, you'll have to work hard at it.

Any additional dokkalfar or dark elf characters (including hybrids such as Kayghet) are welcome to join Kayghet's side as advisors, warriors, etc. Let me know who you're interested in and we can hammer out the details.

How literate are we talking here?

Do we need to familiarize ourselves a bit with Kingdoms of Amalur? Never played the game(s).

Not necessary haha, Dokkalfar exist outside of that game, they’re actually mythological creatures.

Paragraphs required, basic grammer knowledge, attention to detail, careful planning. No god mode obviously, and no OP characters. Preferably you’d be able to match what I had written up top but that’s very subjective tbh so it’s not a good criteria. Plus I tend to write A LOT more. I’m kinda picky when it comes to literacy of my partners so I’m glad you asked.

I'm pretty interested in this. What do you think of this guy joining as the captive? I'm ready and willing to nerf his abilities into oblivion if necessary.

I would be interested in joining this RP if you'all have me. I was going to use Quinn as my character. I have no preference wether I'm playing as one of the party members or as the one captured(Quinn is human).

I'm very interested in this! I'd be down for playing the captured one, and I can be human and female if you'd like. If you've already found someone for that role, I don't mind being just a part of the party. I haven't exactly roleplayed a lot recently, so I may be a bit rusty, but I try to put as much detail into my responses as I can.

In case it isn't clear, Dunir is a dokkalfar boy who gathered the party in order to defeat the dragon. But when they all fell asleep for the night (a spell was cast to make them all sleep), someone or something came and took Carxanius to Kayghet's castle. When they all wake in the morning, he's gone, and everything else is untouched.
