My most recent character here, Duncan Tharn, is a young man with some odd powers (nothing too OP, though) that he can't really control that well, who doesn't have memories from before the age of fourteen. Needless to say, Duncan is eager to learn who and what he is and has sort of dedicated his life to finding out.

I really want to start writing him and have a few ideas for him:
1 He meets someone who's in the same boat, more or less, and the two make something of an alliance, but while they can now help each other out, they also more or less get each other's enemies free of charge.
This would be a bit of an urban runny hidey fighty affair, I think, but it really could go in a lot of directions.
2 He goes on a distant expedition to a ruin of some kind for possible answers and runs into the other character, who is there for their own reasons.
This would be more of an Tomb Raider-esque adventure sort of thing, I'd say, depending on what sort of location they meet.
3 While in a new city for research and some long overdue relaxation, he happens to help out the other character who is up to their ears in their own problems and ends up being on the receiving end of those problems as well.
4 He becomes the target of another character who can put him to good use for their own business.
5 He and the other character are both captured by an unknown shared antagonist and need to get away.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

Hello, Duncan seems like a Avery interesting character, I like how well detailed his backstory is! I’d love rp these ideas with you, as a character I have named Nightfrost if that’s ok 
He is a character set in the modern day, would that work with your character?
Yeah, that works with me. Since it’s modern day should I make her human? She’s a dragon with a human form, but it can be changed based on the rp.
