Hello heavenly Heros! Ah, my name is Lockwood, but feel free to call me Lock. I would really love to find a long-term partner to have a freestyle, 1x1 roleplay with. I come here from the Roleplayer's Amino of the Amino app. While I'm not really used to a dice system or campaign yet, I will figure it out in due time.
I am fond of the Supernatural genre (a little bit of magic with everyone trying to be 'normal' until they are alone, fitting in with the humans). Other genres and mixed genres are very much okay with me. Here is a list in order of my personal preferences I am available for:
- Supernatural
- Fantasy
- Sci-Fi
- Steampunk
- Sub-Genre Friendship
- Light Romance
- Light Smut
I don't mind blood, gore, language, all those things, but you should know I am not all that good at combat scenes. Here is a sample of my roleplay style, at least two sentences and flexible-
Esor Fael stood at the relatively small building he had his beige eyes on for a while. It was incredible to just take in the tinted glass panes and moss-tainted roof. It needed work, but if he worked hard enough to get it, the building could become the cafe he wished for. People walked by the young adult on the walkway, not many bumped into Fael from the spaciousness of this suburban city. As some passerby got close to Fael, he bashfully took a step closer to the building and brushed against the 'For Sale' sign posted. His hands clutched at the bandages that concealed his unnatural secret.

When it comes to starting RPs, most people start in the Looking For RP forum to find some other players. There's also a search tool that will help you find what you're looking for within that forum - click "Find RP" in the top menu, then "join game" then scroll to the bottom to adjust your preferences for game types. If you end up joining someone else's RP, they'll let you know the details about how to join in.
If you're starting up your own RP, you have a few choices about how to proceed once you've found a RP partner or two.
By the by, you can use the "launch chat" button at the top and bottom of any forum topic, whether it's in a private group forum or our public RP forums, to turn your topic into a real time chat! There's also a link in the sidebar of private messages that will let you do the same.

- You can choose to RP via private messages, and just create a new conversation thread with all your RP partners as recipients. Since this is private, the only rules that tend to apply are not to do OOC illegal things and be nice to your RP partners OOC.
- If you're going to have a whole lot of people in your RP, or the RP setting is going to be very strictly defined and you want to have a place to store world building information alongside it, you might consider starting your own group. This gives you access to profile building tools for the group, but also to creating your very own forums!
- In some cases, you and your RP partner might even decide to use some other messenger or game to RP on.
