I don't have much filled out on the profile just yet, but I'm too eager to give this character a try. Test the waters, you know?
So its a cat... it seems. It follows you around one day and perhaps you decide to take it in. There's something a little off about it though, you just can't say what. This RP will be in the horror genre. Looking for a human character to RP with. I'm not too terribly picky about age or gender, but a child would be ideal.
Below will be the introduction (its lengthy, I'm sorry!). If you're interested in this RP, send a message response to the intro. Thanks for taking the time to read!
It’s a rather chilly, gloomy feeling morning. Dead leaves from the previous autumn are bustled along by a breeze that smells of rain. A few drops pitter-patter here and there from the heavy, low hanging clouds that threaten falling to the earth themselves. Their thick waves of sodden grey seemed to cast the world below in a somewhat somber tone. Paired with the skeletal trees lining the road, not yet awakened from their winter slumber, it was a bit eerie. Along with that familiar, almost comforting to some, scent of rain, there was the faint smell of decay that clung to the air, from the dead and rotted foliage of last summer, patiently awaiting to spring to life again come this seasons change.
Puddles of previous rain fall dappled the dirt road you walk to school, or to work. It seemed to always be raining lately. Sometimes you wonder if it’d ever end, or if the town would drown in this spring’s rainfall eventually. It was an odd thought.
As you’re wandering along towards the bus stop, minding your business, maybe lost in thoughts or listening to some music through earbuds, something causes your stroll to dwindle to a stop. At first, you’re not sure what. Nothing seemed out of place, you weren’t sure you heard anything causing you to notice. It was just… a feeling. While you’re standing there on that dirt road to home, trying to figure out this odd predicament, suddenly you felt something else, something physical this time. Something brushing against your leg, pressing against it and almost coiling around it. The completely out of the blue touch perhaps would startle you, make you jump. Upon investigation of this minor assault, you will find a little cat with sleek, black fur at your shin, headbutting it and purring softly. Where had she come from? You hadn't seen any shadows slinking from the tree lines as you walked, and surely you would've had noticed this black ink splotch on the bleak road, right?
Two twin, moon-like orbs of grey are staring up at you now, almost expectantly. They're pretty, the eyes... But, there was something about them that induced chills. You can't put your finger on exactly why. Another loving headbutt was delivered to your shin. Maybe you pet the cat, chat with it a little, but there is somewhere to be and you don't have much time for dawdling. After bidding a farewell to the little kitty, you go on your way. This was only the beginning, little did you know. ~
~ Towards the end of the day, you're sitting in your last class period, or the last hour of work. Time seems to just be dripping by, as if it were chilled molasses. It seemed to stretch into oblivion. Glancing to the side out the window, looking for anything interesting to pass the time, a little black ink spot catches your eye amongst the twiggy scenery of early spring. It was that cat! Sitting on the back of a wooden bench, tail curled neatly around it’s little paws. Those full moon eyes were too strange to mistake… and they appeared to be fixated right back on you through the window. How did it find you here? It couldn’t have followed the bus, could it have? Why?
For the rest of the remaining hour that cat is there, staring and waiting - and you can't seem to think about anything but.
By the time you leave, you’re almost desperate, and you cannot explain why in tarnation you feel this way. Upon bursting out of the building, you find no weird, small feline waiting for you, and again without an explanation to the emotion, you’re bummed.
On the bus ride home, you aren’t able to stop thinking about the creature. Where had it come from? A stray? You hadn’t seen a collar, but it’s fur was so clean and lustrous. Why was it at the school? Why did it watch you like that? The bus slows to a crawl along with traffic, to cautiously be guided around a vehicle accident. Sirens and emergency vehicles bleed into view as the bus creeps its way along. Two vehicles toppled into the ditch on the side, looking horrifically mangled; a limp arm trickled with blood hangs from a broken window. A grey blanket covers a heap a few feet to the side of the vehicle with the busted windshield, the blanket already beginning to stain with crimson splotches. Suddenly, you sit up straight, doubling back to look again at the gruesome collision. What?! It couldn’t be! That cat! Petite little, black thing rubbing up against one of the totaled cars. It seemed to be looking right at you.
~ You've finally reached home after the long day, just hopping up the stairs to your porch when you hear an announced, "meow!" The kitty is there. It's happy purring was audible as it trotted up to meet your legs, giving them an affectionate headbutt as a hello.
