Shhh. Let our egos be fed.
YES!! J.K Rowling. :)
Lantern

H.P. Lovecraft

Kurt Vonnegut

Anne Rice

Gallows humor, eldritch abominations and other horror. Sounds about right... lol

That's neat, I was looking at books today and found one of Kurt Vonnegut. It is called "Cat's Cradle"
Grimfell

I just grabbed my most recent post and received Douglas Adams. Which made me realize that this is the exact sort of silly little program he'd have had something witty and scathing to write about.
Submitted two examples that contained graphic violence and I got:

J.D. Salinger.

Oooooh.
TURIAH (played anonymously)

Ugh, I WISH I wrote like Stephen King. He's one of my favourite authors, as is Vladimir Nabokov.
I used three examples, all from different characters. I like to think that I subtly adjust my prose for each character, to represent their inner thoughts, way of behaving, etc. It also depends on how flowery I feel like being at the time, too, LOL.

For the first I got Stephen King, which made me die a little inside. He's written a bunch of books, one of them I'm reading right now called Under the Dome.

For the second batch of RP I got David Foster Wallace, who wrote The Pale King, Infinite Jest and Brief Interviews with Hideous Men.

The third I got Vladimir Nabokov. He wrote Lolita, another of my favourite books, and I think his writing style is probably the dreamiest and paints the most elaborate picture of a scene out of the three.
Jihan (played by CrescentNomad)

Well I analyzed one of my RP posts from a while ago, for giggles. I ended up with Neil Gaiman, which I was pretty surprised by.

But then I analyzed one of my longer blog posts and ended up with Mark Twain. How funny. o.o
Gypsium (played anonymously)

Hmm. Dan Brown, Anne Rice and Gertrude Stein. I used one of my other writing styles (I tend to use different vocabulary for the characters/setting/mood, versus same vocab for all.)

I've never heard of Gertrude Stein. Can't say I find much reliability in this sort of thing, but it was fun to try!
IAN freaking FLEMING! (For an RP with Arthur)
Douglas Adams (Same character, different RP)
Got William Gibson, Margaret Atwood, and Gertrude Stein for three different RPs with Sam
George Orwell for a combat post with Jones
I tend to write in different styles, based on the character, so I did this for each of my more commonly-played headchildren.

The Englishman:
Ignymn:
Orestin:
Splice:
Madame Dun:
Valish:
I put in the first post I did for one of my RPs using my sci-fi character Tara Ilendi and got... Arthur Clarke! One of my favourite sci-fi authors!

I then put in the 22nd chapter of a pokemon ranger fanfic I once wrote and got... Edgar Allen Poe. I've heard of him, but never read any of his stuff, so i'm unsure about that one.

I was hoping to get David Eddings if he was even in that program, since he's my favourite fantasy author of all time. Oh well...
Yuka

Anne Rice, for 3 samples of text. I've yet to read any of her books, to be honest.
TheLily

9/10 I am getting Stephen King and the other one was Chuck Palahniuk. Both of which please me, since the majority of my non-roleplay writing is horror and the one part of my novel I copied is somewhat like Palahniuk's Haunted, I'd like to think.

For a long time, though, I was getting Stephanie Meyers. This was months and months back.
I can't stop laughing at my result because I am both flattered and in disbelief: William Shakespear.
Mary Shelley.
Ursula K. Le Guin.
Dan Brown.

Sounds legit.
I got Mario Puzo, who wrote mafia stuff. Hmmm...
Ulysses

Do you know about the "Infinite monkey theorem"? ;)
I was tempted to try something like that myself.
A friend did hit random keys and got "William Shakespeare".

If infinite monkeys can produce Shakespeare then a tornado can assemble a functioning jet from a scrapyard.

Besides, anything monkeys wrote would be bedecked with feces. I don't want writing that's quite so.......crappy

Hehe, CSI Miami rocks <3
Dentysykos

I got H.P Lovecraft for descriptions - Not too shabby! And Gertrude Stein for posts, who was apparently known for her modernist approach to writing and art.
