Selene watched with golden eyes as more and more dragons started to come. This gathering of dragons was very rare- a tradition yes-but rare. For this gathering put the magnificent creatures at risk. Humans were always hunting dragons. In truth most dragons were peaceful-it was rogue dragons that stained human memory. Coming to the Cliffs meant being alert. Selene gazed around looking for a familiar face but she saw none.
Cynder flew far overhead, the sun shining on her black scales and tattered crimson wings. She closed her red eyes as she flew over the puffy clouds below her, enjoying the warmth and the wind passing around her. It wasn't often that the massive dragon got out, as she spent most of her time deep within the mountains of the land. It was today she had decided to take some time to fly about. It wouldn't be long before she spotted the all to familiar Dragon Cliffs, a place she hadn't visited in a great man years. Seeing as dragons seemed to be congregating there, she decided to go check it out. She descended in lazy spirals, landing a ways of so her massive size and the sheer force of her landing wouldn't knock any of the others off.
Many larger, older dragons began gathering, which honestly made him anxious. Because of this, he lept rather high when one of them landed. Quickclaws gathered himself and pulled in his wings, keeping his legs underneath him for safe measure. He seemed to be the youngest there, so there was no sense in annoying the elders. Unless, of course, they wanted to be annoyed.
Hearing the voice, Charlotte looked up, freezing when she saw the dragon looking down at her. She stared into the golden eyes, her own light blue ones widening. "I-I'm alright, thank you," She replied. Pulling herself up over the edge, she pushed herself away from the cliff, catching her breath. She looked back up at the white dragon. "You're beautiful..." Much moreso than the sapphire dragon was, in her mind, at least. Her blue scales could never compare to the white ones, and golden eyes were much nice than light blue ones. She managed a bow, lowering her head to the ground.
Selene was taken aback by the compliment. Her golden eyes widened but she quickly recovered. "Thank you." She dipped her head arching her neck gracefully, a rumbling purr coming from her vocals. "As are you! Such colorful scales!" She said eyeing the other dragon. Just as she spoke, a large dragon with tattered wings flew overhead. "Oh my..." Selene said "Such ratty wings!" Selene muttered. Selene's own wings were soft feathers like that of a swans. For she came from a cold land and the thick feathers kept her warm. The thought and sight of such damaged wings were horrifying to the she-dragon.
Letting a small, smooth purr slip out from her, Charlotte smiled at the older dragon's words. "Thank you," she said. Straightening up, she sat down, her head tilting a bit as she asked her next question. "What's you name, might I ask?" When the white dragon mentioned the third dragon's wings, the sapphire scaled one looked over, eyes widening a bit. "Maybe their wings are just naturally like that?" She suggested. It didn't seem like it, though. She watched as the large dragon swooped down, flapping to a halt and landing a bit away from the others.
The white she dragon didn't answer as the watched the large dragon land. Turning her gaze onto the younger she dragon she nodded. "My name is Selene. And who are you my-" She said but stopped short. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a male dragon looking jittery, his wings folded close to his body. Selene's mothering instincts were strong and she motioned for the blue dragon to follow as she approached the male. "Are you alright?" She asked him her golden gaze soft.
Ao Guang arrived at the summit of the cliff, twisting and coiling his serpentine body as he floated through the air like a ribbon. The dragons of the east lacked wings and were essentially 4 legged snakes with beards and carp-like scales. He was coming to the west to flee his past, his loss of divinity and kingdom. Here, he hoped to forge a new future for himself and perhaps sire a new brood in the wake of his sons' deaths. He landed gently near a white she-dragon and asked, "am I late?"
Selene... Beautiful name, she thought, following the white dragon towards the nervous-looking male. She thought she recognized him... but maybe she hadn't. Regardless, she shared Selene's motives to want to comfort him, so she followed the older dragon quickly, but didn't rush, not wanting to scare the male anymore than he was already. Stopping next to Selene, she sat down, curling her tail around her forepaws and awaiting the answer.
Dragon Name: Kyle Willis
Age: 23 Years
Gender: Male
Looks: He stands a little over 6 feet tall. Unlike most dragons, he has fur instead of scales. This fur is a deep pine green with jagged stripes of black running horizontally across his body. He's built fairly strong but is still fairly agile due to his size. His two horns curve back along his skull into points. His wings are large but aren't feathered or furred, but are as you'd expect them to be, Leathery membranes and are a slightly lighter tone of green. A small white beard extends from his chin. A tuft of fur starts from the base of his neck and runs down the rest of his back, thinning out along the tail until it gets to the end. There, is a ball of fur that can be flattened to aid in flight. He has long black talons as well on his paws. His paws can grab and have a slight apposable thumb, but doing things like writing or grabbing certain objects can be difficult.
Personality: He is the strong and silent type and is very observant due to a very tough history. He may be a bit gruff at times but is a very kind and caring soul at heart. Hes even fairly curious when calm and not threatened.
Kyle would arrive on the cliff in a small fog of shadows, they quickly dispersed as he materialized near the cliffs edge. He sat with a relaxed sigh, then jumped slightly as he looked around, realizing he was not at his cliff. Not to mention the amount of various dragons in close proximity to him. His heart began to race and he thought to himself.
Oh S***. Have I been moved through another breach again? Or did she mess with my destination?
He stood up and looked around once more in another attempt to figure out where he was, Tail beginning to sway and Amber eyes darting from dragon to dragon as he struggled to control his nerves in this surprise situation. He spread his wings outward slightly and clenched his talons into the dirt ready to take flight at a moments notice. Despite his inner fear, he maintained a fairly calm expression.
((This was a little longer than anticipated, and I was unsure weather or not to post my characters stuff on the other thread, so I kinda mashed them together here. If there are any discrepancies or something i missed, let me know. Haven't had to much experience in group RP settings, but this seemed a good place to get some experience ^^))
