*sighs heavily*
I don't know how to say this, or even begin to not smash my keyboard but...my laptop broke and I sent it to HP to be fixed, since it was still under warranty. Apparently, someone "spilled" something on it, and I can assure you I've NEVER spilled a darn thing on my laptop, it was my precious gem. Before I came to RPR, I was a member of rpg, and ask anyone whom knows me, I was replying on a ps3, pretty pathetic right? Well it's my husband/ex's computer that I'm typing on now, so what other option did I have if I wanted to rp? So when he finally got me a laptop, I was overjoyed, it was like I was in heaven able to write, draw, and have fun without the hassle of the ps3. Because novella on ps3 is like a GIANT wall of test, and even multi para could be difficult, but I managed. So now they are sending my laptop back to me, unfixed, and pretty much a piece of junk, and informing me I'll have to buy a new one. Which isn't easy either, since I have no credit, no way of obtaining credit because all credit card places nowadays require you to have something.....and I can't just buy it outright either. That would take like 90% of a paycheck. Typically I get around 600 every two weeks, so while it isn't impossible for me to buy a new one, I would be suffering in every other area of my life, gas money to go to work, food for the house, any necessities like toilet paper that I might need, would need to be glazed over, and I just can't do that. I am so sorry to all the people rping with me, but right now I'm truly unsure when I will be back, but PLEASE don't ditch me. I cannot help this. I'm going to do what I can, but right now all I can do is wait.....
*sulks in a corner crying*

Im so sorry to hear this my friend i know how it feels, to be without a laptop/computer and need to save up for a new or wait for your broken one to return. I remember when my current baby was in for repair and i had to type on a tablet with a tiny keyboard. It was manageable yes but a pain in the buttocks >.< Anyway i hope it works out for you dear and i am here if you need support or comfort
Did they say what's wrong with it?
I know money's tight, but you could take the broken laptop to a local computer repair shop and get a quote for what it'd cost to get it back up and writing.
If /all/ you intend to do with it is surf the web and write, you can get a functional laptop for under $100 bucks. You could also piece together a super cheap desktop. Plug it into a TV, attached a keyboard and mouse, and you're good to go.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you, Ms. Frog. I understand your plight, since I've had to use my phone to write replies on here and when I was on RPG for two years. It sucks, and I hope you find a cheap way to use something other than your husband/ex's computer soon.
