Lucas suddenly snaps back into reality and looks at Sai. "I can duel, if you wish. I suppose you want me not to use any of my magic, Sai?" He says as his dishes fly back into the kitchen area. Lucas shakes his head, clearing them of his morbid thoughts. "Are you cold, Rea?" Lucas asks. He snaps his fingers and a fire curls into existence in the fireplace.

Rea sneezed as she looked to Lucas with a sly smile."yes I am cold thankyou for the fire Lucas. Man i suppose that rain hit me harder then I thought. As for a duel sounds lovely, its always fun seeing two men test their strenght for fun. It would get my blood boiling for sure."she said with a cheeky smile putting some bits of flirty seduction in her words.

"I believe it will be over in a flash. And I'm not looking for a relationship, I would watch my partner die...and die...and die again." Lucas responds to Rea's comment, looking sad at the end. He readies his blade in a fighting position, although for most people, he looked slack and bored.

Seeing that Sai had gotten Lucas's attention, he grinned and scooted back from the table. He loved a good fight as much as the next man, though experience taught him to be careful.

Standing and backing away from the table he drew his sword. "Don't write me off too quickly," he said. "I'm not captain for nothing." of course at Rea's words, he grinned. Showing off for a lady made things interesting. He readied his blade and then charged forward.

Lucas easily parries the blade and deflects it, although not strongly enough to get it out of Sai's hands. Lucas stands in the same position, and then says, "Go ahead, try again."

Sai caught himself and turned, grinning. He was facing a competent swordsman, this would be fun.

"As you wish." He feinted with a slash to Lucas' left arm, at the last minute twisting his wrist and bring his blade to strike for his heart instead.

Rea watched the two men as they began their small swords duel. She watched them closley and studied their movements. For one thing sje was right, seeing two men fight didi make her blood boil. She couldnt help but want to figure out their fighting styles, usually that said a lot about a man or a person in general. She noticed Sai like a typical sea barring swords man carried quick and decisive movements feiginig one thing to create an opening in the other. She smirked Sai was much like a pirate quick and yet to keep the fight going feigning attacks and adding others, full of energy. She then noticed Lucas movements direct and to the point. But she shrugged for being alive for centuries he was probally bored. Rea shruuged as she relaxed near the fire watching the two of them, she then began to think of her own fighting tatic. Quick sharp attacks hitting vital spots and cheep blows. She smirked as she knew she was a rouge and fought like one, ising everything and anything to her advantage. She grabbed the end of her tank top and wrung some of the water out of it. She rrlaxed again as she pulled out some jerky from her pack and began to nibble on it. All the while her grey eyes foucesed on the two men. "oh Sai so sure of yourself eh? Im sure agasint a quicker skilled Drow you would have trouble. Oh and it looks like.Lucas os given you a run for your money."she jeered adding a little atmosphere to the situation. She wondered how it would change their reactions.

After a while of deflecting blows and moving forward, Lucas feigned to the left, then circled around and put his sword to Sai's neck. "Does this count as a win?" Lucas says, his sword slowly dematerializing as he steps back. "You put up more of a fight than I thought you would, to be honest."

Sai was having fun, a fierce grin crossing his face as he parried, thrust, and parried again. When they began to circle each other, he was growing tired, and at last when Lucas' sword rested against his neck, he lowered his sabre's blade.

"Well done." His face glistened with sweat, and he re-sheathed his sword. "I haven't had a duel like that in a couple of years."

He then turned to favor the drow with a grin and a wink. "As for facing you, I'd use an entirely different trick."

Rea clapped her hands as the two of them finished their duel. She looked to Sai and Lucas as she raised a brow to Sai's comment."oh a different tatic I do wonder what ever it could be. But as for the fight it certainly was a good duel. Hmm, though I doubt I could join, I would get rather vicious. And be half tempted to slip your purse when you least know it." she said with a smile as she relaxed near the fire. She smiled looking at Sai and then grinned.

"It has indeed been a while since I had such a duel." Lucas says, sitting down on a chair, his sword fully de-materialized. "You are quite the talented swordsman, where did you learn your techniques? I have not seen that fighting style before, or at least not for a very long time."

Sai chuckled at Rea. "I can handle myself well enough around women, though pickpocketing isn't something I recommend. You'd probably be disappointed with what I carry--my ship eats into my funds more than I do. Though that does bring up the question of why you've turned pickpocket?"

To Lucas he ducked his head. "Eh, when you travel the islands and encounter various cultures, you pick up a few things here and there. I'm impressed by your own skill though." He hesitated briefly, wondering if he'd be stepping on dangerous ground with his next question. "What happened that caused you to become a ghost? Your skill is still unblemished--though I take it you haven't kept out of practice either."

Rea looked to Sai with a big smirk."oh me tunred to pick pocketing? well lets just say I have a large weakness agasint gold and other valuble items. As far as theft goes, I am much worse." she said iwth a big grin as she turned her head to Sai enjoying the lively conversation.

Lucas looks at Sai for a few momoents, then sadly walks over to the window, his palms pressed against the sill, looking out at the rain while it poured relentlessly against the glass. "A long story I would prefer not to talk about, although I suppose I should tell anyway. I've kept this to too few people for far too long, I need to tell somebody." He says. Quiet follows this, only broken by the plit-plattering of the rain, the consistent noise of the grandfather clock against the wall, and the calm crackling of the fire. "I didn't really ever die. I would have long left this earth to another plane of existence if I had." He slowly walks to the fire and gazes inside it as almost reliving something he hadn't thought of in a long, long time. "I tried to create a machine to revive my parents after they died in a ship...crash." Lucas says after a brief pause, as if reluctant to say something. "It failed miserably and partially backfired. Me and my cat were turned to a ghost-like form, whether being an actual ghost or not." He stopped and sat down at the chair he was sitting in earlier, followed by a long, quiet silence...

Sai smirked at Rea's insinuation of her thieving skills. "I'd love to see you try to steal a ship then." He sobered briefly, "Actually, that would probably be a bad idea." Especially given that his was near about ready to sink under the slightest weight.

He turned to listen to Lucas' tale of being a ghost and his sense of humor faded to be replaced with concern. Lucas looked...defeated. Sai looked down, unsure if he should break the silence. "We all have something we're not proud of," he said at length. "At least you tried to do something good. That it backfired and made you as you are, that wasn't something you could have predicted. Maybe there's a reason you're the way you are. You can do things normal people can't." Though between Rea and Sai and Lucas--he doubted any of them were normal--he certainly wasn't.

Rea's playful smirk dissapeared from her grey lips as she listend to the tale that Lucas wove. It was truly sad realy hew as trying to create something noble to revive his parents. So in turn when she heard of him speak of the machine backfiring and making him appear in that ghost like form. Rea put her fist inot her open palm, thinking what it might be."you know, you are technically not a ghost then, but perhaps a phantom. There is a species of creatures that are that are able to still manifest without actually being dead. But it was still rather noble of you to try to revive your parents.I know I would have wanted to revive someone dear to me as well. Despite my theiving habits...and Sai's potential challenge to steal a ship, I am actually a very kind person at heart. And as well to Sai's comment even though were techically not normal. We all have our hopes and well talents as well. Such as this." she said as she held up an almost empty coin purse that had belonged to Sai. She smirked as she tossed it back to him as she foucused back to Lucas."whether good or bad we use it to our advantage to strive forward."

Smirking slightly, Lucas shoves off of the windowsill and says to Sai. "I believe you had a ship that needs fixing?" As he walks over and looks into the fire. "Thanks for the encouragement, it's been a while since I talked to somebody about that. How about we fix that ship of yours, Sai?" Lucas says with a devious grin.
