Hello! My two characters are supernatural, they are shapeshifters. However, I am a huge fan of apocalypse roleplays.
Mainly, I LOVE The Last of Us which is a video game and it is an apocalypse game.
I have a link I can provide below, and it describes in GREAT detail about the environment and such of this game for those of you who are interested but don't know the genre.

The apocalypse is fun and exciting because the plots are endless, the ideas are limitless - there are NO rules when it comes to the apocalypse. Survival of the fittest, fighting against other survivors and more importantly, the infected people. The infected in The Last of Us are NOT zombies; humans are infected with a brain virus, this fungal infection is known as "cordyceps" and it attacks the hosts brain, thus, turning the person into a "zombie-like" creature of pure violent instinct. It is post-apocalyptic so it is "future" based. In the game, it is set 20 years after the infection hit the human species.
Details are found in the link above for each stage of the infection, the environment itself, and about the cordyceps brain infection - which... Fun fact, cordyceps is a REAL thing in real life, but it only attacks insects.
I would love just to have a fun exciting roleplay of survival.

*** NO SMUT! Not a fan of romance, but MAY be willing to do VERY MINOR romance if you really want romance. But it'll be very minor as I'm not really a fan and it's not what my characters are created for.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
