Mai was surprised once again then went out the door, locking it behind her, then caught up with him. She was wondering went through his mind, he did things without thinking now.
"I do think." Lucas says, continuing to walk across the plain, his cloak still wrapped around him, the chest in one of his hands. He stops then turns around and says, "This IS the right direction, right?" He says, walking backwards. "When you're over a million years old, you get quite forgetful..." He says.
Mai nodded. "Yes, but it will take some time just by walking there."
Lucas shrugs, and continues to walk in that direction. "I assume you hail from Germany?" He asks politely, taking a look around at the scenery.
Mai nodded. "Yes, I came here from Hessen, Germany." She knew most of the time the German in her voice was clearer than the British.
Lucas remains silent as he walks forward, his gaze steady as he continues to walk, but his gaze sometimes looking around at the peaceful scenery. "I should really take a break in a place like this sometime..." He thinks out loud. "Reminds me of..." He shakes his head, clearing bad memories from his mind. It's been too long since he thought about his old house near the coast, ever since his parents died. It must have been so many years ago, he had no idea when it was.
Mai looked at him, a curious look on her face. "It reminds you of what?" She couldn't lie, this area has been one of the best places she lived in a long time since she had lived somewhere beautiful place such as this. She had been moving city to city because she was forced to by the Clan for all her life.
"Nothing. I'd...Prefer not to talk about it..." He says quietly, almost a whisper, then picks up his speed. "We should get the artifact back before the witches or the wizards or whatever use it or absorbs its power."
Mai nodded and walked along side him, even with him speeding up. "Actually, they won't use it unless they have to."
After a short while of walking, Lucas sees the city of London. He then turns to Mai and says, "Soooo...Where are they, anyway? Their base, the witches or the wizards? And who would be the most likely to take the artifact?" 'Speaking of which...' Lucas thought to himself. 'How would they have gotten the artifact, anyway...?'
Mai looked up at the London city. "There is a castle near the city, but it has less people around it, that is where the witches are. The Clan's leader most likely took it, Jennsis. She probably hid it somewhere in her room, assuming that no one else knows what she has done." She walked into the city, spoting the castle that was on top of the hill. She pointed to it and said, "That is the castle, the top of the tallest tower is where the leader's room is."
Lucas looks at the castle for a short while then follows Mai. After looking at the tallest tower where she was pointing, Lucas holds out his hand in a grabbing position, and a sword slowly materializes from the air in Lucas' hand. He then jumps and flies up towards the tower, phasing through the wall.
Mai sighed, she went behind a building shifting into a normal looking ribon, except her eyes were still bright red. She flew into the room through the open window and shifted back into her human form. "Alright. You go ahead and search for it and I'll take watch." She went to the door, putting her ear to it and listening closly for any sounds of someone apporaching.
Lucas nods and starts taking a look around, but is greeted by a magic wall, which he slams into. He tries to move around it, but it encompasses the rest of the room. He then tries to fly in from another end, but slams into another side of the wall. "No good." Lucas says, going back to his previous position. He takes a look around the area of the room that is not encompassed by the field, but finds nothing concerning the artifact.
Mai looked over at Lucas to see him try to fly through a magic wall but only to be smacked in the face. She sighed and while he countined to look around in the parts of the room, her hands glowed red and she opened a whole in the magic wall, but it took alot of her power and enegry. "Get in there quick, I can't keep it open for long." Her magic was very limited and spells weaken her the fastest.
Lucas nods and flows inside of the magic wall and takes a quick look around. As a test, he tries to move his hand through the wall from the inside, but with no avail. He then continues to look around, and then suddenly is hit by a huge wave of magical energy. He pinpoints the spot where it's coming from, which is inside a drawer, which is sealed with magic. "This MAY take me a while..." He says to Mai and then looks up. "Somebody is coming. Quite powerful. Hide or something, quickly!" He says, and starts saying spells silently.
Mai swore silnetly and shifted into a small kitten, letting go of the whole in the wall, and ran over the a dresser and hid under it as the leader came into the room. Mai was supressing the want to growl at the evil leader, hating her for every little thing she did to ruin Mai's life at this point.
The leader sees Lucas trying to disengage the seal on the dresser. "Well then." The woman said. "Now how did a stray little wizard manage to get himself in THERE? I thought we had a little understanding, but I guess NOT. I suppose I'll have to eliminate you and tomorrow, your body will end up TRAGICALLY in the river.." She said, faking a cry at the end, then looking evilly at Lucas. (Can you control the evil woman because she's your character's mortal enemy? And you have more of an idea about what her personality is?)
Mai got out form under the dresser and shift back into her human form quietly, a dagger in her hand. She pulled the leader's long graying blonde hair and put the knife to her neck. "You really don't know what you are doing." The leader's green eyes widen at the fimilar voice then she smriked. "Ah. We meet again, Miss Rebelion. I thought I would have broken you by now and you wouldn't go against me, but I was sadly wrong."
(Yes, I do. I have done roleplays before of Mai going against her master before and I rather play her since I know her personality.)
(Yes, I do. I have done roleplays before of Mai going against her master before and I rather play her since I know her personality.)
"I suppose I should let you handle this." Lucas says, and continues to say spells, Mai starting to be able to see the energy coming from Lucas' fingertips as the intensity of the spells increase. He finally disengages the lock and lifts a half of an orb, broken forcefully in half. "The hell...?" He says, examining the fractures.
