"Anyway..." Lucas says, looking into the distance. "What should we do about the claiming of the orb piece in your heart?" Lucas repeats, his mind thinking through various solutions, all of which end up hurting, paralyzing, or killing Mai. He couldn't do that, even if it was an immensely powerful artifact.
"We can handle that after the war is over. No matter what, I can not let this chance go away because of the orb." She began to head back to her house.
Although bothered, Lucas follows her and says, "If I help you, will you help me get the other piece of the orb?" his legs moving briskly as he keeps up with the fast-paced walk of Mai.
Mai nodded. "Yes, but you don't need to get invovled in this since as you said, you have neverr had to deal with this kind of stuff before." She answered quickly as they came upon the house and unlocked the door.
Lucas stayed outside, his arms crossed. "I said I never had to deal with rebellion inside Runecalica. Why do you think I'm so skilled with swords and magic? I venture outside to do stuff like retrieve the orb and other things, along with helping people. We're sort of like secret helping service with more serious matters, like this one."
Mai sighed. "You can help if you want but at this point everything is fine and under wrap, we just need a few more people for the army and the war will really being."
"I can slaughter them if I wish. I'm a skilled spellsword. Very few magical blocks can actually deflect physical items, especially swords." Lucas replies, then adds, "I really do need that orb, that's why I'm doing this. Because it is quite evident that you don't need much help."
"You don't have to do this to get the orb back, I will still try to figure out how to give it back to you after the war is over. I don't need it and it isn't mine to keep, so I will give nack to you, seeing that it means so much to you."
"Alright then, I suppose. I just need something to do, and I can't really relax without knowing exactly where the other part is..." Lucas says, but then drifts off to sleep mid-sentence.
Mai sighed as Lucas drifted the sleep while he spoke. "Can't relax? Yeah, that is clear as day." Her voice was filled with sarcasm.
Lucas woke up as soon as he spoke. "Sorry, it's been a while since I last slept and I need a lot of energy and such to..." He fell asleep again, then suddenly woke up. "I need a lot of energy to cast spells and such and I haven't rested or eaten in a while..." He says again, falling asleep.
Mai snapped her fingers in front of his face to wake him up. "You are more than welcome to stay here to get something to eat and some rest to be ready when it comes time for the real battle to being."
"Bwah!" Lucas says as he suddenly wakes up. "Nah, I'll just sleep out here." He says then lays against the ground. "I got some food in my pockets." He says again then falls asleep.
Mai sighed and grabbed the back of his collar but remembered then and her hand went right through. "Damnit." She mumbled. "No, ghost or not, you don't need to be sleeping outside."
Surprised by the hand moving through him, Lucas suddenly wakes up. "I musta dozed off..." He mumbles and sits up. "Did you say something afterwards? It's kinda hard for me to stay awake after I've used magic, and it's been a while since I've last went to sleep." He says and shakes his head to wake himself up a little.
Mai sighed. "I said you can sleep in my house until you have regain your strength. I have a few things to do, though." She opened the door to her house.
