So I've got this annoying stump in my backyard that needs to go, and like the totally responsible adult that I am, I've decided the most expedient way to remove it is with explosives. So I ordered a stump removal charge, but I needed a fuse for it that would take an hour to burn, giving me plenty of time to light it and have a nice cup of tea while I awaited the fireworks. The problem is, the retailer instead sent me 2 fuses that looked more like strings dragged through the streets of a fruit festival with as many different materials that are in them. They have apologized and promised to send another, and while the stump can wait, my tea cannot.
Seeing as how my kitchen timer has disappeared, probably stolen by the Garden Gnomes again those crafty buggers , I need to use these fuses for my tea, or they'll end up in my drawer with my varying lengths of wire forever. The manufacturer assures me that even though each different material in the fuse will burn at a different speed, a single fuse will cumulatively burn for precisely one hour.
Both fuses are made of a different myriad of materials. My tea takes 45 minutes to be ready. How can I use these 2 fuses to precisely measure out 45 minutes?
