Magic, dark and light, used to live together in harmony alongside humans. The king and queen maintained a harmonious relationship between those with magic and those without. However, a tragic accident occurred. The queen was brutally murdered by a group of dark magic wielders causing the king to order for the death of all those with magic. Light wielders were wipped out immediately where as those with dark magic put up more of a fight. It only took two years of brutal war between dark wielders and humans to completely wipe out all magic users.... well all except one.
Knowledge of one last dark magic wielded spread throughout the kingdom and soon a bounty was placed. But it was all false knowledge. The bounty claimed that it was a male who would look like the traditional dark magic wielder: Black hair dark eyes strong build. However a female survived. Rose. Her parents hid her during the war and she grew up alone. She mastered her magic and managed to make a form that looked human. Brown hair, blue eyes. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Your character was hired by the king to find the last magic user and bring them to the king so they could meet their brutal fate.
As your character was walking down his neighborhood road, he bumped into Rose. She had moved in next door. Will he learn her secret? Will they fall into a forbidden love? Up to you!!

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.

Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
