Request Guidelines
Please understand that, as someone whom is offering up money, I have just as much right as you do as an artist to have guidelines and terms. I come across one too many artists on the internet that do not seem to think that the payee/customer/commission has much say in things. That's wrong and a horrible business practice. Your commissioner is just as vulnerable to having been or being screwed over as you have as an artist. Always keep that in mind in the future. We do have a say and we should be just as respected as you want to be...
-Please post your prices, any relevant links to commission information and rules.
-Do not post here if you are not currently open for commissions unless you are willing to take a slot.
-Do not post here if you cannot have the art done within 2 weeks at the earliest, a month at the latest. A few days would be most preferred, but I understand life. I've had bad luck with artists whom take forever. I get people have lives, but if I pay you I do expect prompt service and not months to years for completed work. I'm not playing those games anymore
-Do not post for friends or connections you have unless you have their permission (I want to see screenshot proof of this). Make sure your friends know my guidelines.
-You MUST have references of your work. I do not mean straight up art references, I mean actual portrait art references.
-Because Furcadia's color choices are so limited, I am seeking NON remap ports. However, I do prefer NON-REMAP PIXEL PORTRAITS! There is just something about them that I will always love
(that does not mean my request is limited to just them)
-Our transaction must be kept entirely confidential and anonymous as far as my ooc information.
-I will be paying in paypal only. I will not be exchanging GD, digo's or any other kind of material goods or currency from other sites.
-I will be paying per "goods and services" and no shipping address. I will not be paying for the fee. I will be paying in USD only.
-All artists seem to require payment up front. As stated above, I've had issues with this. I pay, I either never see my art for months to years, or never see my art period. I, as an commissioner, have the right to want to refrain from payment until my piece is complete. I feel this limits my interactions with people as far as commissioning, so, we can work something out.
-You must be entirely willing to communicate and keep that communications open. I want updates and WIP's, and I want to be able to suggest any changes if I don't like how something looks. I'm not too horrible at this, but sometimes things get wonky and I'd like a fix without being charged a super extra amount of money. But the communication thing itself is key. If you drop communication with no warning, but you are active, I will do a refund request on paypal. If you just drop communication period, I will still do a refund request. I will wait no longer than a month for completed work. This is not an invitation for you to take the entire month, either..so don't play that game with me, please.
-Not looking for animated portraits. Please don't offer these.
-Just because I don't choose you as an artist this time, does not mean I am not interested in the future. I'm not willing to currently pay for like..2-3-5 artists all at once for portraits. One portrait currently is enough lol.
-Not looking for a photo-manipulation or traced work of some face-claim actress, singer, character that exists IRL or on the internet...While I will try to find a pose for a suggestion - if you trace or manip, do not post here. I will be checking.
