A Wednesday-afternoon in the Mojave desert. The NCR troops said it right when they said 'patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter'. The sun was scorching the arid wastes around Red Rock, even more so than usual. The plains were deserted for the time being. Not even the Cazadors were out hunting.
No one in the right mind would be out of the shade at a time like this. Yet there Dennis was, putting one foot in front of the other and sweating like a pig. Normally he'd be at a hotel in Westside, waiting for nightfall, but that would have been foolish. When Cazadors don't find food during the day, they have no problem being active at night and losing their sleep in the progress. In about a few hours, these plains would be crawling with the oversized mosquitoes. So the Brotherhood Of Steel Knight got himself an old cowboy hat and hoped it'd be enough to cross the arid sands.
It wasn't. Already his water supply was dropping low. Due to the intense heat, he was getting incredibly tired at a fast rate as well. Dennis would need some place to rest, and fast! Lest he end up as Cazador meal.
What drove this young man across the desert like this? What sane person would go to Red Rock in the first place? Rumors had been spread of old Enclave technology being hidden somewhere in Red Rock. They were hard to believe, but to some curious people like Dennis it was worth checking out. Luckily for him he didn't wear his Power Armor, or he'd had collapsed hours ago. All he brought were his plasma pistol and recharger rifle. The only good thing about the sun was the reload time for this clunky rifle would be extremely fast.
Finally Dennis' prayers for shelter had been answered. At the foot of Red Rock, there was a small wooden shack. It looked abandoned, for it had much garbage surrounding it, and the campfire hasn't been lit for a long time. The windows were broken, and the whole thing could use a paint job. This place was probably used by many adventurers in the past as a temporary base of operations.
Kayne slowly walked up to the place and tried to take a peek through the window. From what he could see it was dark inside. He could spot a closet, a small table and at least three mattresses. perfect! Although, there could be someone in there. With his plasma pistol drawn he moved to the door and knocked on it."Hello? Anyone alive in there?"

inside therer was a weird soud that almost sounded like an atomatic door clossing folled by a loud bang and some creaking. the creaking of wood got closer and closer tot he door and finaly it opened and behind it stood a teenage girl that had long black hair tied in a ponytail and wearing a purple tanktop some white shorts a pair of combat boots with a knife taped to her thigh and a weird shaped pistol on her waist she also wore a purple bandana on her head " what do you want" she said looking up at the man with her gold eyes. this girl definitly looked human but she had a weird feeling to her. seriously she was a girl alone in the middle of the desert plus she looked comepletely fine , not a spec of dirt or sand on her she also had the smell of perfume on her something about this was strange
