You wake up in what appears to be a heavy forest area, three other people standing near you, all looking around equally confused as you are, the area around you is unfamiliar, and definitely untouched by civilization, you are unsure how you got to this land, nor how you hope to find your way back home, although no matter what comes first you must decide. How are you going to survive in this land and should you befriend, manipulate, or simply "remove" the people who seem to be stuck here with you.
(Any and all characters allowed, human or not, magic or mechanical, protagonist or antagonistic, you name it you can use it)

Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Modern
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
