It was unpleasant as always, but he was used to it, so he thought he shouldn't complain, Dylan had chosen to listen to music via his earphones for the long and boring trip him and his mother had had to take in order to move to their new home, so it wouldn't take an eternity. He only took them off by the end of the journey, when Jane bumped into him gently. It didn't take him much time to realise they had arrived and that meant getting out of the car and see the new... new... new.. home.
At least now they didn't have to live in an appartment, which was cool, it was a house with blue walls and white pillars and windows, with a small yard in front and a path of small, decorative rocks leading into the entrance.Without any hesitation, the 16 year-old boy went out to take his luggages and took a second to contemplate the building once more :"Is it worth it?I mean.. packing out, is it even worth it if I know I am going to move out anyway?", he thought to himself.
Jane parked the car in the small garrage attached to the newly acquired flat and noticed her son starring at it blankly, she took a soft but somewhat tired sigh, but quickly snapped out of it when it came to speaking to him , "Come on, Dylan, pack out, we have many things to do.", Jane told as she was already opening door."Fine, mom, I am coming.", he replied with a bored tone.
"How cool,Harv, look, the company got it point blank, it costed a fortune, but it sure worthed it. We have so much on ourselves, why bother with moving furnite too?It looks beautiful.", she said suddenly in an excited maner. He had to admit, they did a good job, it must have been because Jane was somewhat of a .. loyal client, however he was grateful that he didn't have to stress himself with carrying his computer over a whole country. As you enter, the ground floor has the kitchen on the right, some sort of dinning room on the left, and as you go walk forward, you'll come across the stairs leading upstairs and the doorway to the living room, and the way leading to the bathroom.
"It just needs a bit of.. personalization, let me do that, you could go and... see your room, and maybe lay down a bit, if you wanted,Harv.", Jane suggested.
"Mom!", he whined.
"What?", she asked with a quizzical look on her face.
"You called me Harv twice. You know I prefer Dylan..", it sounded more like an observation, however, it still annoyed him for some reason.
"Fine, Dylan... go and rest a bit, pleased now?", she teased.
He didn't say anything, he just went upstairs and explored his "man cave" a bit.

Bored was one way to describe how Anastasia was feeling, she was already done with all of her music lessons and her parents were busy as always with work. She lay in her big white bed with her dog Luke in her room, it had light grey walls and pictures hung up on the walls. A couple of doors were to be found in her room, one leading into the hallway, and the other into her bathroom. She lived in a what some might call a modern mansion, there was a pool located outside, next to it was a Jacuzzi, the whole thing was surrounded with trees and a green refreshing scenery. A couple of hammocks were hung upon the trees. The mansion was made up of three stories, the first one included the kitchen, living room, two bathrooms, two office rooms for her parents, and a large guest room. The second floor had Anastasia’s room, along with her closet room, a library, and her parents’ room that also included a bathroom. The third floor was the entertainment floor, it had a room filled with video games, a soundproof room for Ana to practice her playing, a room that was furnished similar to a cinema, and a room that was an all couch room, literally, there are no walls visible nor floor.
Luke’s ears stood up as a car drove in the street and parked two houses away. Anastasia pet her dog as she stood up and walked to her window, she looked outside and saw that new people were moving in to the neighborhood. That didn’t happen as often considering that the neighborhood mostly included people of the upper class which can be quite boring. She tilted her head curiously as she felt Luke standing at her feet, she smiled down at him as she heard her voice being called by her mother. With a final look outside the window and a shrug, Ana walked downstairs, her dog trailing behind her, as she made her way to the kitchen.
“What’s up mom?” the girl asked as she saw her mother handling a phone call. Jane, her mother, signaled Ana with her hands to stay quite while she handled the phone call. That was something that happened quite often. Her parents were always busy, with her mom being a famous director and her father handling the real estate business, it seemed like work never ended with them. Ana sighed as she crouched next to Luke and spoke with him softly. “What do you think it is this time?” she muttered to the dog as she gave him a kiss. Her mother cleared her throat and Ana stood once again. Her mother’s gaze traveled to Ana’s shoulders and, without even thinking about, Ana’s posture changed.
Taking Luke’s leash by one hand, and the gift basket by the other, Ana made her way to the new neighbors by her mother’s orders. She started talking to her dog as she often did. Wondering about who the new family is and what they do. She wasn’t sure whether they were fond of animals so she reached for the door, knocked on it a couple times, then took a few steps backwards waiting for someone to open the door.

(I am going right to the point)
"I wonder who it is..", Dylan heard his mother speak from his room. He layed down on his bed, starring at the yet empty ceilling, but got up when somebody apparently knocked at the door."Somehow, I got used to people visiting us, making acquitances only.", he thought to himself as he made his way down the staircase made out of dark wood.
"Can you open the door, sweety?I am still packing some stuff out.", said the mother with a big suitcase near her. She was attempting to decorate the fridge and taking out some dishes she didn't want the company to accidentally break.
"Sure thing.", said the son with a neutral expression on his face, he went over to the door and opened it.
He saw a girl, possibly of his age with a dog's leash in one hand and a basket in the other, Dylan let out a small smile when he saw the cute dog she most probably owned, and greeted the individual with a polite "Hello there..".

Luke was always a doggo that got excited when seeing people, he might be the friendliest dog ever. He ran up to the guy as Ana looked at him. That was weird to her, finally someone her age moved in. this neighborhood was mostly filled with either married people in their forties and above, or with babies. That was one of the main reasons that Ana got bored a lot, there was no one her age to hang out with, and her friends at school were too intimidated by her parents that they don’t visit her often. She can’t really blame them, they can be really strict. Ana still loved them with all her heart of course, she just wished they would actually spend time with her, without any business talk, like a normal family.
“oh hello, I’m sorry about Luke, he gets excited way too much every time he meets someone new” Ana apologized as she gave him the basket that had a Mascota Vineyards Unánime 2010 wine bottle, along with gouda cheese, blue cheese, and ricotta. That was always what her parents gave her to give new neighbors that move in. Ana took a look at the guy’s house, it was quite nice. “Welcome to the neighborhood” she added with a smile.

"Such a good boy!",Dylan smiled genuinly and pet the dog with all the love he could have possibly conjured out at that momment, he kept its head in his hands and pet his fur.He had always been wishing for a dog, but the constant moving rendered that impossible. The boy looked at the girl and took the basket wholeheartedly, "Thank you so much, it's appreciated.", he said, putting the basket on a drawer nearby.
"My name is Dylan Maynards.Come in and make yourself comftable, if you have some time.", he suggested, Dylan tried to be as polite as he was able to, however deep down he still had the feeling of it having no use, but he didn't want to be unpolite with her.
"What's your name?", he asked.

Ana was genuinely so happy to see her dog with the guy, she was scared for a moment that he wouldn’t like dogs. She looked at them as she remembered how happy she was when her parents had finally agreed to get her a dog eight years ago and the two had been best friends ever since. She can’t imagine her life without Luke and how much more boring life would be. “Oh don’t mention it. Welcome to the neighborhood”
Ana thought about it for a minute and then shrugged, she had nothing better to do so she thought why not. “My name is Ana Roquez, I live a couple of homes down the street.” She said with a smile as she walked in, Luke already in the house and jumping around. Ana looked around the house and looked back at Dylan, not sure where to go to.

"Come to the living room.", Dylan replied, giving the dog another petting session of his. He then proceeded walking over to the living room, situated not far away from the entrance. The decoration and the style was somewhat simple, but still beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.A couch facing the TV and a beautiful, crimson-red rug went well with the colors of the walls and the plant situated at the corner of the room.
Jane had already managed to put out some photos as decorations and fill the bookshelf with the books they had. On the table near the couch, there was a photo of Dylan, herself and her ex-husband, there were also plenty of photos on the wall.Dylan took his time and think that it was really strange that his mother was so fond of the pictures, so much so they were the first things she packed out everytime they moved.
"Take a seat, I'll bring ya a drink.", he told her with a smile.

Ana nodded and walked into the living room, Luke trailing behind her. She looked around and was surprised to see that pictures were already hung up, and books were put into the bookcase. She walked around the room looking at the family pictures as Luke made himself comfortable on the floor under a window. Ana picked up a book from the bookcase, it was interesting to her. They just moved in, and they have so much put in place already. While, on the other hand, Ana shad some new clothes that weren’t in her closet till now. She never was the type of person who was neat, you can often find her leaving a mess behind. She often calls it an organized mess for she almost always knew where everything was. Something that her parents never quite found the logic behind.
Ana looked back at Dylan when he spoke. “Oh I don’t want to bother you” she said as she sat down on one of the couches. “Are you sure it’s okay for me to be here? You just moved in and you must be busy…” she had never been invited in before by new people. She usually just delivered the baskets, said welcome, and then went back to her home. So she wasn’t really sure what she was supposed to do.

"It's okay really, I don't see reason for you not to.. IF you wanted,I am not forcing you. You are our neighbour, you've come with a basket, and it's common courtesy to call you in, if only for a few minutes, I guess...", it was not like he fell any reason to get attached to anybody in this place, but he still had to be polite, he couldn't just go all disrespectul, for it's kinda nobody's fault that he and his mom keep moving all the time.
After petting the dog once more, Dylan made his way to the kitchen and grabbed some orange juice and filled two glasses. He went back to the living room and put the glasses on the desk, near the picture with him, Jane and his dad.
"Soooooo.. how's the neighbour around here?", he WASN'T good at small talk at all ,but he was trying.

(im so sorry about the late reply)
Ana smiled at Dylan as Luke, for some unbeknownst reason, followed Dylan into the kitchen. “What! No! Luke, Luke, come back” she whispered as she tried to make him come back to her. Face palming herself after she failed to do so. “I’ve had him for eight years, and he doesn’t even listen to me” she murmured to herself as she saw Dylan walking back to where she was sitting, Luke trailing behind him. “I’m so sorry about him. I tried to get him not to follow you” she apologized about Luke’s actions as she took a sip from the juice he just poured, and choked as she heard his question. How was she supposed to describe the neighborhood? Should she be honest with him? No, no, that will definitely scare him away. Nevertheless she should give him an honest-ish answer. “Well, I mean. Many successful people live here, and you can make noise without anyone complaining. Other than that it’s pretty boring.” She explained after some thought, she wasn’t sure whether that was a good description or not. She cleared her throat as she decided to ask him a question. “So, what made you decide to move here?”

(I am sure we are both busy, haha, it's okay)
"Don't worry, it's not that of a big deal.", Dylan laughed as he pet the dog. It's not like they known for sure that this house didn't need a thorough cleaning, it wouldn't be much of a problem if it did, he and his mother weren't that crazy for cleany enviroments, it's not like they like messes, but they aren't going to go crazy just because a dog got into their kitchen.
He sat and sipped from his orange juice and carefully listened to what Ana had to say, "Well.. Mom heard of a psychologist cabinet being free and she was in need of one, so she didn't hesitate in applying for it. Needless to say , she got permission into being in a... some sort of position, I don't know, so here we are.", he described, although he didn't want to bet that he got all the details right, somehow all the movings seem the same for him, so he doesn't really bother with the reasons anymore.
Her description indeed made him a bit insecure, his family had never been the rich type, however that didn't mean he would just close everyone else out. "If anyone has a problem with us being not-so-rich, they can just as well drink bleach, as I don't care in the slightest.", he thought to himself. Jokingly considered that they would surely be more thankful to the lady who takes care of their minds.
