As the title implies, this is an RP based on the Slender Man Mythos. Here's how it's gonna work, in basic terms: (Info about general requirements are below, FYI)
- Takes place around early 2016.
- Relatively sandbox, with no set plot planned currently except for the introduction.
- There are two intros planned out, one for Runners and one for Proxies (scroll down to learn more about what those are).
- The Slender Man himself as well as minor characters and 1 GMPC (to be introduced probably a bit late into the game since I have no idea who that'd be as of yet) will be controlled by me. Your characters are controlled by you, though(as well as anyone else you give permission to write as them).
- Players can be Runners (those who find out about the Slender Man during their opening posts) or Proxies (already know, and have been brainwashed to serve him; can masquerade as "normal" but will likely appear unstable unless they're particularly good at it). You can even play a Runner who turns into a Proxy over the course of the RP.
- However, no Runners or Proxies from canon sources. ("Canon sources" include Slender: The Arrival, Marble Hornets, EverymanHYBRID, and Slender: Haunt for now. Please let me know of any other story-based Slender games or web series that I missed, so I can mark those too when the actual RP comes about.)
- May contain gore and cursing, however keep sexual themes to a minimum.
- Yes, your characters can die (or go insane!) There's always gonna be a chance of it(well, after the intro there will be - I don't want to kill your characters right out the gate).
Currently looking for at least 3 players. I'm only accepting 1 Proxy, as a note - I don't want to end up with an overwhelmingly-antagonistic cast and leaving one Runner to fend for themself until my GMPC arrives.

Plausible legends of ancient magic, but current magic is not common.
Modern
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
