Hey,
I have a little brother, who is nine years old. He knows I RP, and every time he asks me to let him on the Repository I tell him no. He even went so far as to try and make an account under my nose, and was disappointed when the site wouldn't let him on.
He's pretty stubborn, and I know he'll ask me again. What should I tell him?

Children under 13 years old are legally not allowed to be on RPR. The moment we find out someone is younger than that, we have to delete their account immediately.
It's the law, and RPR can get shut down and we can get into serious trouble if we knowingly allow kids that young to have an account on here. We're just not allowed to store their information in any shape or form.
So keep saying no.

But when his 13th birthday comes, he will be welcome to join us.
Yeah...that's going to seem like an eternity to a 9 year old but it's the best we can do.

Thank you, guys. I think he needs to hear it from someone other than myself to convince him.

I do want to say good for him for being honest enough to enter his real age! We have had to escort 9 year olds off the site before that had lied about their age, and it was not fun for anyone.
In the meantime, he could just practice writing his own stories.
There is no harm in creating characters in notebooks and then joining RPR at thirteen with them later. Most of my characters are really old and I have just tweaked them over the years. Encourage him to start passing notebooks of stories with other friends or something. That is what I did and I had a blast!

Mellute, that is a GREAT suggestion.
He could also rp with you as a starter. Nothing wrong with sitting at a table together and passing the keyboard back and forth, or even writing replies on paper. Anything to get a early start and feed a needing mind!
Or let him start designing a character or two now. Take a look at the quick start wizard, and print off that page, and let him start making some characters now.
Of course if he needs help with armour or weapon designs, you can come talk to me. I'm a SLIGHT expert on those sort of things. I know mostly from medieval, Roman, and Greek things. But I know a bit more than that too. But also know a lot of WW1 and WW2 weapons and things like that too. Anyways, good luck.

much like berserker here, i'm willing to assist in some artwork
I think Blackito hit it on the head the very best. He's your little brother, and so if he's interested in RPing, I believe the easiest and safest way for him to do so would be to RP with you, privately. It's a strange, wonderful, but sometimes unfortunate Internet out there, and I would say that the best way to go about it would be something small and private, like sharing the computer for a few hours or minutes a day or week, or a notebook.
