"Ooh, Marik found a mate" Monica teases, her true jokey personality coming through now.

He blushed "Shut it Monica, I'm assuming you probably have a mate by now"

"Ha! Nah, ever since Zan took over, most of the male wolves have joined him, don't like that." she sighed. "So, why'd you come back?"

"I came back to take control again..." he responded.

"But that means..." Monica responded.

"Yes, I'm to fight to the death this afternoon." He looked down, slightly worried.

She looked over at moon then back at marik and monica

Jay licked Marik's cheek encouragingly and affectionately. "It's alright, I know you'll win...."

Moon smiled softly at October.

She nuzzled moon and whispered in his ear, “I need to tell you something later...”

Marik smiled Jay and nuzzled her cheek before turning back to the other two. "I just wanted to say hello to you two. You guys and Roan were my only good friends in this pack. If I die out there, I want you to know that." He turned to Taru. "Taru, I need to speak to you in private before this."

Taru nodded and walked off. Marik licked Jay's cheek before following her.

Monica walked over to Jay tentatively. "Hi.." she started.

Jay smiled slightly. "Hello...."

Moon was slightly confused, but nodded. "O-okay...."

She sat down and looked at Monica and jay

Moon sat as well, nuzzling her cheek affectionately.

"So, Marik's your mate eh? Should've known him as a pup. Always acting like he would never love anyone" Monica chuckled.

When Marik was sure him and Taru were out of earshot he turned to her. "Taru.. you were like a mother to be when I was a pup. I just have one last favour to ask you.." He started.

"I'm all ears Marik" she responded.

"Well uh..." He looked down. "Me and Jay are expecting pups soon and..." He sighed. "I if I die today, can you help Jay with them? I don't want to leave her alone with no one in this world should..." He shook his head.

She leaned on him and laid down

Moon gently started to groom her.

Jay chuckled slightly. "Awe!"

She looked over at jay when she “awe!” She raised a eyebrow

Monica chuckled too. She had noticed Jay was pregnant the moment she walked in. "So... uh. You expecting?" she asked.

Taru looked at Marik. "Marik, you're not losing that fight. You'll win. For your mate, for your pups and for a pack that needs a better leader. I will do whatever I can if your time comes but Marik, that's not going to happen.

Marik sighed. "I hope you're right"

Jay nodded, blushing and smiling. "Yeah...."

Moon continued to groom her.

"Aww, all the best to you with that" Monica smiles.

"Marik, look at me" Taru said.

Mark looked up at her.

"You will win this fight. I know you will" she says reassuringly.

She turned and nuzzled moon and closed her eyes, she was getting more tired recently

Jay smiled back. "Thanks, Monica."

Moon smiled softly.

She laid her head on his back falling asleep

Moon chuckled softly and gently continued to groom her.

"Yeah, I knew Marik as a pup. He's very nice a good friend. You're a very lucky wolf" Monica grinned.

"Ok Taru... I will try my hardest but if the worst comes to the worst, thanks for having my back" Marik said.

"No problem Marik, you got this" she responded
