He smiled. "We should sleep.."

The temperature began to drop as night began to fall. The pups began to whine softly. They were cold.

Jay pulled them close.

The pups eventually settled down and drifted off to sleep against their mother's warm fur.

Marik lay his head over Jay's neck to help keep her warm as well.

Jay smiled sweetly, sighing softly.

The pups were snoring softly.

Marik nuzzled her cheek. He lays beside her, his head draped over her neck, watching over Jay and the pups protectively.

Jay gently licked his cheek affectionately, smiling sweetly.

He smiled back at her. "Sleep" he said softly.

Jay nodded tiredly, sighing wearily.

He lay beside her comfortingly until he was sure she was asleep. He then lay his head on his paws and drifted off as well.

The early morning sun shone into the cave, causing Marik to lift his head. The pups were curled up at Jay's side, still asleep.

Jay yawned softly.

"Morning" he yawned

"Morning...."

"You seem tired" he said, nuzzling her cheek softly.

"Yeah, well, after yesterday...."

"True.." He nuzzled her cheek comfortingly.

The pups began to stirr as they woke up.
