In the late 17-18's mermaids and mermen were around, they would fetch a pretty high price if you where to catch one. Usally the people that find the mermaids and mermen's kingdom never returns. This one Pirate captain determines to be the first to return safely. Though upon finding it they find this one mermaid with a blue tail. This one at first stays a reasonable distance away. Then when some other mermen find the ship and pull the captain over bored, she appears out of no where and saves the captain and driving away the mermen. After this she quickly returns to stay far away and they don't see her again. The captain decides to stay a bit more just in case the mermaid shows up again. After three days and they are about to sail away one of the crew members spots a blue fin slashing in the water.
