The year is 2032. Almost 12 years ago, the World was on the edge of an all out 3rd World War. When one death of an unimportant government official, set everything into pure chaos. The nuclear waste from the bombs, created a mutation in people that turned them into... Something inhuman. And also made the world only habitable for those inhuman beings.
But Dr. Hendrick, knew something was coming. Using all the funds he had from science grants and other things, he began building and underground city, back in 2010. Through the years, he and a few other followers, gathered orphaned and abandoned children and brought them into this "New Eden." There, they were injected with a serum that gave them certain mutant abilities. Each child manifesting different abilities that you could not predict. Once injected, at the age of 7 or above, they were trained as soldiers.
When the mutations from the nuclear waste started to happen, Hendrick got to work. Trying to create a serum that would change the inhuman, back to human. But the resources he needed, were spread across the world. This is where his soldiers come in. They're sent by group and ability, to retrieve items that he and other scientists need.
When one day, a group comes back with a girl who's not at all effected by the nuclear waste. Through some information gathering, it's discovered that her father was a scientist for the enemy side and had injected his daughter with his own serum that would prevent her from mutating. From what she remembers, there was two vials. One her father injected into her and one that rolled under the couch, when he was being dragged away. A new mission begins. To retrieve the anti-serum from her home on the other side of the world.
Ages for this role(of the character): 18-24 years.
Character limit: I'll say 6
Requirements: I prefer 1st person. But if the majority says third I'll go with that. No writing for other people, unless it's super super obvious. Be respectful. I don't mind swearing. But keep it civil.

Who am I? My name is Adam, 22 years of age. My ability, is retention. Anything I see, read, hear all stores into my brain. Giving me the abilities to learn all kinds of techniques and information. But with it, comes a side effect called glitching. With so much information stored, I'm prone to going on auto pilot and hopping from one bit of information to the other. Until I'm stopped. But this is dangerous, if I'm in a life or death situation, since the Glitch causes me to remain where I currently am. "Frozen" if you will.
I'm not opposed to romances. Just Fyi. I'm thinking, that we could set up some kind of "side space" for two characters of each. So if those characters are the only ones together, they can intact without the rest of the group. Leaves room for deceitful plots that become clear when back in the group.
Let me know what characters you have in mind and if you have any ideas/suggestions.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.

Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

This looks good. By the way, are the abilities kind of like mental stuff, like super wisdom and, like you said, retention, or could it be stuff like they can summon fire by causing molecules to vibrate?
