I was refreshing my memory of the rules, to be on the safe side, when I come across this:
Rules wrote:
You may not impersonate RP Repository representatives or employees or pretend to be a member of the staff.

Whoa whoa whoa. RPR has a working staff? I mean, I knew there were mods and everything, but Kim actually has employees working too?

Or is this just to clarify to people who might try to do this that there is no such thing as employees, and I'm just reading way too much between the lines?

Cheers,

~Oaky
I think she's just referring to the moderation staff she's picked to help her out, not actual handpicked employees.

Edit: In a way, since Kim is the main financing force and power behind RPR, she could technically be considered it's 'employee.' Or mother, if you wanted to think of it that way.

Bonebag is correct, the rules refer to Kim herself and the moderating team. Should Kim add more people to the site's operation in the future, it would include them as well.
This has no relation to the topic at hand, but Darth your new avatar with your N7 armor is glorious.

People who create official templates (so no epic shared templates) are compensated with real money and I imagine they are the ones who fall under being employees the moment a contract is setup.

Staff are moderators or anyone who takes on an official position on the site, whatever form that may be, like Darth explained. :)

Just to be clear, moderators receive no compensation in any shape or form, we're volunteers!
Actually we're compensated in your appreciation, adoration, love, best wishes, and sacrifices of electronic-delicious-baked-goods.

But none of that is easily viable as a source of exchange in the global market, so it doesn't count. ;3

(I could not deny this post the silliness it deserves.)

Actually, people paid for one-off additions like templates or official art are legally contractors, not employees. This is only important if you do the RPR's taxes every year. *cough* >.>

The RPR has no salaried staff of any kind, since no one gets a paycheck. I have never been paid for my work on the RPR. I have been reimbursed for most of the money that I've put in at this point, but not all of it. But because of the legal structure of how the site is owned and operated I'd be defined as "staff" by the guvment.

This rule is written with the intent of referring to me, the moderators, and should the site ever gets to that point where it's able to support it (it already kinda needs it, but that's another conversation) future salaried help.
I'd settle for just volunteering to assist this site personally. Kim could pay everyone who works as a mod or whatever on this site and I'd be the only one just like "Yeah. Enforcing the rules like a boss!"

Many people volunteer! We have a great community. :)

Oh! That makes a lot of sense actually. :) Thanks for explaining that!
