"I can't help it." He smiled although he was a little embarrassed.

Anua laughed slightly before kissing his cheek lightly and pulling away. She blinked as she remembered the necklace but decided to give him that later.

His went to a look of surprise, and he started blushing. "Well. let's uh go get something to eat shall we?" he asked while trying to move on.

Brie held back a laugh at seeing Wolfen so embarrassed.

"I'm not picky."

"Neither am I. Anua where is it you'd like to go?"

"Why are you asking me?" She huffed and looked around." How about the Inn? Or I can try my luck at cooking."

"I wouldn't mind either way, what do you want to do Brie?"

"I might go and look around. I want to leave you two alone." Brie looked at Wolfen.

"I uh, honestly I don't think that's the best idea right now." He didn't want either of them to be out on their own.

"I'll be fine Wolfen. I want to give you two some alone time while I look around town."

Anua blushed.

"Fine. If you you won't listen to reason then make sure you cling to the shadows. That moron from before is still out there. If you really want to give us time alone then just go in the other room. I don't want to lose my Commander before you even get promoted."

Brie huffed before walking out of the room. He didn't want to upset Wolfen so he just went into the other room.

Anua watched Wolfen for a moment before starting to take the cloak off. She didn't need at the moment.

He turned around to face Anua. "Sorry bout that. I've just lost too many friends over the years." he walked over to her and put his arms around her. "I don't really want to lose you guys too."

"You won't. I know how to fight." Anua hugged him back.

"It's your stealth skills I'm worried about. That's what I want to test you on. I need to make sure you can sneak up on normal humans. Also our stealth isn't just for offensive use, it's for getting away unnoticed."

"Wolfen." She pulled away and looked at him." Stop. Take a deep breath and relax."

"Huh... Yeah you're probably right."

Anua smiled." You need to stop worrying so much. I've taken care of myself for years."

"Yeah, I know you have." He leaned in, put his hand on her cheek, and pressed his lips against hers.

Anua kissed him back, softly placing her hand over his. Her other hand held his other hand gently.
