Anua leaned against him and held his hand. Soon, she fell asleep against him.
He just sat there holding her. After a while he gently laid her down, so as not to hurt or wake her and covered her up. He covered Brie up as well, the night was cold and the air brisk. He didn't sleep that night.
Anua slept fitfully thanks to her crying and her fear. She tossed and turned all night, her sleep disturbed by dreams.
Wolfen sat and watched them both, comforting their dreams when they tumbled in their sleep.
The next morning, Brie woke up with a yawn. Anua seemed to still be having a nightmare.
Wolfen was still right by her side when Brie awoke, putting his hand on her shoulder when she stirred. "Good morning Brie." He said without looking towards him. "How are you feeling?"
Brie looked up." Fine." He looked at Anua, who fell back asleep." Is she having trouble waking up?"
"She's having intense nightmares, has been all night. You stumbled around a bit too. Mumbled the name of a girl. You started shivering too, so I covered you up. I've been watching over you both all night. Trying to comfort her isn't working anymore, all I can do is watch as she struggles." He voice was low and depressed. "How are you at cooking?"
"Not that bad if you don't mind a few burnt spots." Brie watched as Anua shuddered and curled up into a ball.
"I wouldn't normally ask something of you this soon after you just recovered, but I can't leave her side. Something about her condition, just won't allow me to leave her."
"Maybe I should go get the doctor."
"It's nothing physical, it's in her mind and heart. Have you ever heard of Seers?"
"Yeah. Olmec said something about Anua being one, I think."
"They see things happening or about to happen. Do you think that's whats making her this way?"
"I've had the privilege of meet only three before her. Her father is a God, all of her power comes from him. The others told me this is common occurrence for a Seer, especially if they care for any one in particular."
Brie nodded." I'll start cooking. You should probably wake her before it gets worse." Brie went to go cook something.
"I've already tried. She won't wake. I can only sit and wait." His eyes were sad and mood melancholic. He reached up and brushed her hair. "It will be a full moon tonight. I cannot stay, if she wakes tell her why I left. Otherwise, just watch over her while I'm gone, and don't do anything to strain yourself, you aren't fully recovered yet." He looked at Brie for his answer.
"By the look of things, I don't think she'll wake up for a while." Brie said. Anua started to cough violently, blood dripping out the side of her mouth.
