"I smell a lot blood. Get ready, I think vampires are here."

Anua swallowed." I don't think I can use my shield without blacking out." Brie looked at he then back at the door.

"You cover the door Brie." Wolfen turned around and drew his Katana as one vampire came crashing through the window. The blade drew it's head, cutting it's brain in two. Another one burst through the door. Headed right for Brie as one came in right behind it going for Anua. Wolfen stood in front of her, ready to attack it when it came into range.

Brie sliced the vampire's head off. Anua focused but flinched." We need to leave. Either more are coming or Adventous is coming."

"I agree completely." Wolfen sliced the one in front of Anua, in half. He grabbed them both and hurled himself out the window, Brie and Anua in his arms. He landed breaking their fall with his. "Go, now. Run I'll be right behind you."

Anua ran, Brie right behind her. She looked over her shoulder to look from Wolfen.

Wolfen, running behind them, quickly caught up. "Keep going. Don't stop."

Anua tripped and yelped but got back up.

Wolfen stopped periodically to attack the vampires that were coming after them, killing one and turning to follow Brie and Anua again. One at a time, he'd turn and strike, just to turn back around and run some more.

"Wolfen. We need to find somewhere safe." Brie huffed, tired.

"Yeah but these things are a lot faster than you. Anua might be faster, but I don't know if she can handle the strain right now. Even with my wolf, I can only carry the two of you so far, I'm trying to avoid that if we can help it. The thing is they're weaker than if it was night time." Wolfen kept them moving but knew they needed to find somewhere soon. He hadn't been this far out of the town yet and didn't know the territory.

Anua stopped and turned. Closing her eyes, she focused. She threw out her hands and created her shield. She fell to one knee but kept her shield up.

Vampires came in and hit the force field, going up in flames. Wolfen watched as Anua strained to keep it up. "Adventous isn't here. I think he wants to see what we're made of. Brie, when Anua can't keep up the field, I want you to carry her while I kill whatever get's close enough."

"Where are we heading?" Brie watched Anua as blood dripped out of her mouth.

"A cave with a small entrance or something that will force them to come at us one at a time. we need a funnel of some sort." Wolfen moved outside the force field and started killing all the vampires around him. "Get going, now!"

Brie grabbed Anua. She flinched and the force shield collapsed. He picked her up and ran, looking.

On the run they found a cave with a small opening near the water. "They can see in the dark, and hear your heart beat."

Brie nodded and flinched when Anua shuddered from pain in his arms.

Wolfen stood at the entrance of the cave ready and waiting just in case vampires found them; hands on his swords.

Brie crawled in and placed Anua down. He crept back outside." Think we lost them?" He whispered.
