So, I've decided to join the pirate wagon once again, or ship if you'll (badum tsch), since my older RPs with Edward have seemingly died out.
Most info can be found on Edward’s profile, but to avoid confusion regarding the FxF/MxM/MxF part; Edward is biologically a woman but has chosen to dress and pass off as a man to further his own career in piracy.
However, I am 18+ and I'd prefer my partner to be the same. It simply makes me feel more comfortable.
I am looking for multiple partners, though not any group RPs. I am work with both short and long term.
While I do have a couple of basic overall plots to start things off with, I do believe that it’s more rewarding to figure out a more personal plot between the characters, also depending on what kind of chemistry they turn out to have.
Speaking of chemistry; romance is not an end goal for me. If it happens, it happens, but I am not looking to force a romantic relationship between characters.
Basic plot ideas:
Familiar - Y/C is a pirate (or possibly a privateer) and they happen to encounter Edward throughout different ports in the Caribbean. They might start hitting up something akin to a friendship (or rivalry), or something more physical.
Could alternatively end up with two crews having to work together to take a prize or something along those lines.
The Knave - A member of the crew Edward is a part of. Could be a new member or an old one. I feel like this one is rather self-explanatory.
Visitor - Y/C could be working in a port, preferably something stationary like a barmaid etc, where the crew of the Knave frequents. This is possibly a bit more casual and easy going.
England - Edward has given up his life on the sea, retiring to England to live a quiter life with the fortune he has accumulated. He starts to socialize with higher layers of society, something he is rather poor at to put it mildly. Y/C can be someone of a higher standing who finds Edward amusing, a housemaid or something third.
These are just some basic things. I am also open to supernatural sea creatures and trying to fit them into a setting.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.

Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
